That's pretty much how I feel whenever I play Drana in EDH. "Hardcast Platinum Emperion, cast Ad Nauseum, draw entire deck and have infinite mana, combo off, LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL."

Condescendingly encourage your opponents' pathetic attempts to mount a defense against their impending destruction...

"Wow! Four Exalt triggers and Rafiq gives it Double Strike? That's a lot of damage!"

Nothing funnier than Spinebiter, Rafiq of the Many and Finest Hour.

"No blocks? No removal? *Extend both hands to corresponding opponents.*"

"You're doing reeeeeaaaaally good."

- I assemble one of my many infinite combos and kill you.

What I saw in my head when I read this.
Time to let ole Painless out of the bag...

@redthirst- I thought that's how all your games ended? That's our red. Classy as fuck.

Urgh. I need to grade and get ready for class this evening, but I don't want to read any more bad writing. It's depressing.

Very classy. I always slap them with a white glove I keep for just that purpose so I don't have to actually touch them.

Then I burn the glove.

So I don't catch their poor.

My favorite way to win in Nin the Pain Artist (I put my "primer" up, by the way) is to clutch a massive grip, use [card]Jace's Archivist[/card] a few times (with Thousand-Year Elixir or Rings of Brighthearth) or copy a Windfall and then play Molten Psyche. Or just have Psychosis Crawler. Bonus points for having a Consecrated Sphinx out.

What life are you guys at? Oh, dead. That's right.

This talk makes me want to start playing EDH...but I just don't really WANT to. Singleton formats turn me off, but slower formats turn me on...

A white metal glove. Like in Robin Hood: Men in Tights.

Play it. It's fun and relatively cheap to get into. At least, until you start wanting to upgrade you mana base and then start foiling out your deck cuz you have nothing else to buy. And then you start sleeping with your $1,000 deck next to you. And then...
Ok, maybe it's not for everybody.

Many decks have so much tutoring and/or redundancy that they're suprisingly consistent.

It's not my favorite format, but I like having a deck or two around so I can kill an hour with my friends or play in a Commander tournament that comes up every so often.

I have three : Kaalia of the Vast, Nin, the Pain Artist, and Jaya Ballard, Task Mage. All women. All redheads (Check Nin's carpet. She's a redhead.) All bitches with an attitude. I'm toying with the idea of making a Gisela deck and then labeling the quartet as the Four Horsebitches of the Apocalypse.

What does everyone think about the new duress on a stick? Playable? SB material? MD? He feels like a card with some potential, in a deck such as an aristocrats. Sure, I'll exile your Rites!

I think it could easily find a home in Aristocrats and gives you more reasons to run Resto.

I've been wanting to make a shitty Aura deck with Bruna as my Commander, honestly.

There's so many fun auras from throughout the ages...

Zedruu is a fun Commander.

I imagine Norin is, but I still haven't finished that deck after like 3 years because it's such a low priority.

Also, Zur is a pretty good commander if you love Auras.

Do it! You can also play Sovereigns of Lost Alara and Eldrazi Conscription for epic beats!

All you need is an idea and a theme. Go nuts and have fun.

Like Auras? Play with Zur! :trolo:

EDIT: Got beat to the punch.

I wrote a temporary primer on a green-heavy Gruul list I've been working on. I'd appreciate any critique:

They have got to get a more professional logo. I was hoping it would look better with the URL update. :(

Zur isn't really an "aura" deck though, it's a combo deck that uses auras.

It is what you make it. I've played against "fair" Zur decks.

Lay it on a little heavier why don't you?

(We were going to do it anyway.)

I giggle each time I see diestoremoval.com in my browser bar. It's so snarky, therefore right up my alley.

Day 59 redbros. How's everyone else doing with their personal goals? Fitness, magic, career, etc.

Meh. Specific goals are going... okay... but generally everything is great.

Week 2 of weightlifting begins for me today. I did my first day on Wednesday, March 27th to see where I was since I hadn't lifted in three years. I was in pain for the next four days! So I'm really counting the following Monday as my first day. My body has already reacclimated itself to the rigors of lifting, kind of like riding a bike. I'm a lot weaker than I used to be, but the strength should return rather quickly as it always has when I've taken shorter breaks from lifting.

Personally, I've started to run and lift more to prepare for the upcoming football season. Our team is coming off of a state semifinal appearance, and we are losing 90 out of our 125 touchdowns on the year. We are going to need more people to step up, and me as well, as I need to prove that last year wasn't a fluke (got named all-state). Overall, we have some hard teams on the schedule, but I know we can do it.

Me and the ham challenge are iffy, but fitness is going great. I've started training every day for my battodo rank test, running every other day, and eating much better.

Magic....eh. The responsible decision would be to stop playing.

There's fitness involved in the ham challenge? Yikes.

It's not mandatory, but it helps to have something to do with the extra time and testosterone.

What's the creature type on duress on a stick? I forget, relavent? That will help it a lot.

As for working out I'm trying to get my fat ass back in shape. Gotta make sure FoS looks good naked at all times.

I guess that's true. I didn't realize how involved this thing was, I just thought we weren't jerking it.

Granted I am both in shape and not jerking it, but then again I work from home so all I do all day is work, clean, and work out.
