Back from the first pre-release.
I seriously think I'll never get the hang of this set.
We won because my mate was really superuberduperstrong, but I've yet to understand how that happened.

This set is easy to understand. Play creatures, make them big, or play lots of really small creatures that pump each other. Your opponent most likely has no removal.

Could you get this up on youtube, zem? My lappy doesn't have sound and my phone can't do twitch (at least not for your streams. I have two apps made for twitch that must be good for something, but not your viedos).

If the video isn't going to be interactive, I suggest simply recording it and uploading it to Youtube instead. It's pretty pointless to stream it if it won't be interactive.

In fact, someone should just make an FoS youtube channel. Or a Diestoremoval channel. Whichever.

It is interactive, I take input from the audience whenever I have one. This was more about:
- brushing off the cobwebs
- getting feedback on volume, video, pace etc. so I can improve the quality for next time

HAHA.

Apparently now, post-twitch's latest update, it doesn't save your video unless you TELL IT TO. Whereas it used to do so automatically....so there goes 2 hours of footage and theoretical discussion. Vomit.

Well...I can't say that I really loved my pull (way to evenly divided, would have been great if I could have played Jund), but I DEFINITELY attended to most epic prerelease imaginable., including a godly act.

The shenanigans started off with the fact that our area is totally booked up right now with convention stuff and so our TO had to go to a local mall to get an area big enough for the tourney. When they got to the mall, the jank security said they hadn't understood the timing and that no one could be in the main mall (we had the food court) at night. Luckily, the Martin City Melodrama theatre company there offered up their space, which had enough seating and was really unique.
MCM Theros.jpg
So, I'm helping my nephew get people registered as the other judges were out helping direct people around to the right side of the shopping center when
someone says there's an issue in the bathroom. Turns out there's a toilet that someone cracked the supply line on that's leaking water into the bathroom. So they contact the security folks and get a plumper called and we go on with the first round. Well, the jackass security guard doesn't tell the plumber where the water shutoff is as he's trying to arrest the leak and the stub fitting breaks off...we now had a 1" supply shooting water across the bathroom!
PR flood.jpg
They eventually got the water shut off and the thing stubbed, but you can see the results. They let round 1 end, then gave folks the choice of quitting and taking 2 packs or going over to a my LGS to continue. I took the bail so that I could help our TO clean the place up for today as my nephew and the judges had gone to the store to run the rest of the flight. Quite the evening taking a squeegee to carpets and wet-vaccing up the place.

The laugh-off
of the whole thing is that a bunch of people who thought they had the format down were talking about how no one should be choosing blue as it was "only playable as a support color". Obviously Thassa took exception to all the disparaging remarks and decided to demonstrate the power of water... :scared: . We have now decided that for the next block, we will have a volcano set up and will sacrifice a virgin before we start!!!

As mentioned before: FUCK, I've missed the show. Slept for like 5 hours. Exactly hours when you were streaming. And TBH I was really interested. ;_;
One day I will start streaming. Bad english grammar, silly polish stories, Magic: The Gathering involving Shivan Dragons.
I know you just can't wait.

Btw are people still updating trade threads and the like? I'm going to prolly need a bunch of cards for states depending on my prerelease pulls. :-/ How has Deckbox.org trading worked out for people?

I went to FNM last night wanting to give KDW one last hoorah, and you know what? The fuckers made me draft instead. It was the last RGC draft and it was $10, and I cannot draft well. Three other guys showed up that wanted to play INN standard for the last time, and I played a game with someone who built a Nicol Bolas, Planeswalker deck. Very fun just to get to play the deck again.

I went to FNM last night, I went 5-0 with my Boros Humans deck. Went to the midnight prerelease and went 7-1 for 1st place. My buddy and I both pulled an Elspeth in our opening packs. I also pulled an Ashiok out of my packs for winning.

Nuwen's luck continued to be amazing as she cracked a Xenagos for me, and a Whip for her.

Since me and two friends pool cards we have a HUGE head start on getting standard shit with these notable pulls:
-Thoughtseize
-Heliod's Spear
-Hammer of Purphorous
-Hexproof Plant
-ANOTHER Xenagos (;D)
-Elspeth!
-Master of Waves
-Anger of the Gods
-Polukranos, WORLD NOMMER
-Anax and Cyamede
-R/W +X/0 dude
-Temple of Silence
-Temple of Triumph
-Peak eruptionx2
-2x Ember swallower in addition to promo in addition to the 8x I ordered >__>
-Fanatic of Mogis
-Firedrinker Satyr
-Nykthos, Shrine

Was insane. Only got two crappy rares, the blue craprare )instant sorc copier( and the red "burn 2" heroic rare

as for the event itself I was having a BLAST wrecking greedy mana bases with an insane R/B minotaur pull

Minotaur lord into Margma Warcaller, extend hand? Happened quite a few games. Had two lightning strikes, thoughtseize, black removal, red removal, minotaurs after minotaur.

Managed to get a DRAW the first round, spent so long reading each card, and I was just chillin. Went on to be 4-0-1 into top 4.

Punted the finals. I had the 2/3 minotaur with the lord out. He played a centaur courser... I LIGHTNING strike it... for literally zero reason.

I immediately realize how retarded that was. He plays the 5 mana Green 3/3 with heroic shit. Enchants it with TWO ordeals, outraces me (and just barely)

Its funny because I NEVER beat this guy in limited but hes NEVER beaten me in Standard. I'll take that trade-off I guess

Yarpus, I'm having the same problem. When I go to the mothership to download it, it asks me which version I , but the screen for that is only half visible and it won't let me scroll down to finish and click download. So I'm stuck in the meantime.

Anybody else experience this?
