Another card with "Gutter" in its name.

I read that flavor text as "Gavin says hi". Well, :hi:

Surely I can't be the only one that raised an eyebrow at the flavor text.

It's interesting that Gutter Snipe cannot target Gutter Skulks. Gavin is doing a good job of weaving cards that tell a story into set design.

Even more evidence we should all be unbanned since Wizards believes Gutter is an integral part of the MTG color pie (gutter skulk, guttersnipe and gutter grime)

Maybe kcw can comment, he has a nice redemption story on how he moved on from bitter rivalry, through begrudging respect, into sharing hotel rooms with Gavin.

Alas, all he does these days is posting giant rolleyes smileys, so it might not be the best idea.

The blue and White must fight off the unrighteous gutter gangster scumbags from their midsts.

Hey guys, long time no see!

As some of you probably know, we're finally moving forward:
  • People who want to give it a try will be able to appeal their ban, regardless of previous rules of ... unappealability? Yeah, let's go with that word.
  • The decision will be left to the mod team. We had discussions on leaving it to admins only, global + admins only, but letting everyone decides seems to be the best way to do things.
  • Appeals will probably be processed by waves to avoid rushing/congestion.
  • The Gutter will stay closed for now, I really don't want it to get in the way of reintegrating people in the community. We might be able to talk about it much further down the road, but it won't come back in its old form that was creating way too many problems.
  • People are expected to stop
messing around with a couple of things to make things easier on everyone (Gimmick accounts, account sharing, etc...). On the other hand, mods will take into account the weird situation we're in when they vote on appeals, I think a lot of them understand where we are at this point, and want things to be resolved as much as you do.
I think that's about it. If you feel there's a problem at any point, feel free to PM me on MTGS and I'll look into it.

Hello again Bibi. It might be quite useful for you to go a little bit more into this above point, if you don't mind my saying so. It seems to be a major point of contention and, realistically, makes little sense from certain vantage points.
Only trying to help, you understand. :embarrass:

Could you please explain this in more detail. Right now it sounds like(from my fairly drunk veiwpoint) "The Gutter" Will be allowed to Appeal bans.

Big Whoop!? Appealing means nothing when Your appeal will be denied because you broke the rules.
[*]The decision will be left to the mod team. We had discussions on leaving it to admins only, global + admins only, but letting everyone decides seems to be the best way to do things.
Everyone
apparently not including the people who were banned. :confused2:
[*]Appeals will probably be processed by waves to avoid rushing/congestion.
Please explain how this will be handled.

The Gutter is dead. Long Live the Gutter.

What outcome do the MTGSS feel will resolve this?

Most of us can't P.M. You on MTGS ^_^.
If any of the MTGSS would be willing to clarify things for me that would be wonderful.

Well I mean if the staff were to use the letter of the law then no1 will be unbanned. If they use spirit of the law however..........

Im also guessing you never found out who the high level leak was which I keep banging on about.

I guess just to remind people that this guy was one of the reasons the snowball started rolling that then led to mass bannings. While this guy gets away scot free.

I will not be making an appeal to the exact same morally corrupt staff that plotted to get me banned.

At this juncture I still believe that the facts that the leak warned me were true, and I would wish to firstly thank you again for your honesty, whoever you are. You did the right thing and allowed us to fight back and expose the whole facts of this sordid story. You are a good man and I wish you the best in your future endeavors :)

As such, and as it is fairly well documented that I only started to be infracted 3 days after I told publicly that I was letting an issue letting go (see here for the complete documented story), and since Sene, Nai and the lapdog, which were at the forefront of those efforts for banning me and the top members
of the Gutter in an effort to clean house before the arrival of the new owner, are still the ones reviewing the appeals, I'm not about to try another Leipzig trial.
Im am content with gimmicking, account sharing, proxy browsing, and tunneling on MTGS. It takes less time and frustration than to interact with a morally corrupt staff in a private kangaroo court.

In any case, thank you for your efforts Boubouille, again I understand that not alienating your staff should take precedence over other things. Best of luck with the future endeavors of your site :).

PS: Also, I recommend those who want to make that dance of appealing to do so. Chances are you'll get unbanned since the staff will want to play the divisive card and unban many people in a display of "leniency", and they will want to look "good"
in an effort to clean their "conscience". Therefore it is a good opportunity for using that slightly open door.

If you ever need to put some blame on myself or some other statement to further your appeal, please do so here or by PM, and I will post something ITT.
