Attention clan Super Gay.

Lets test modern on trice.
I can't right now, I'm legit posting from my phone because I'm trying to sleep. Tomorrow evening? I need to build up the rest of the gauntlet still anyway, I only have Brobots, Merfolk, and Ajundi built on Trice.

Concerning the mono one-drop deck, I think I'd run:

[deck]
16 2/x's
4 BTE
4 GHC
4 FFS
3 Wojek Halverdiers

4 charm
4 spear

16 shocks
5 mountain[/deck]

Litterally lost to Mirran crusader both games. Because Elspeth says it deals 10 damage.
You gotta understand, I love the beatdown. I really do. I always have.

Beatdown is hard, though.

You seem to really know your shit, LP. I really agree with all your main points in your last post.
I'm kind of a big deal.

Or as Kibler would say, "Also, it helps support the argument that I'm a goddamn genius."

That's a really good card. But underwhelming early, sure, but nice late when you just want to spend all your mana. Probably a 2-of?

That hydra is insane. Easily splashable, great top deck, hates blue. It feels more like a mythic than a rare.

Let me know how it goes. I've been playing around with a RB shell without the spoiled cards just to get a feel for the playstyle. I'd love to play Trading Post again, and I'd LOVE it if it were competitive.

Only thing I've noticed is that I am very weak to Desecration Demon across the table, and that is very frustrating considering how much I've seen it in the past couple of days.
I'm sure the Thoughtseize help with this.

Do any of you guys actively play legacy?

I'm trying to figure out if a fast mana Chandra deck could be a thing. It really does beg the question though, why not just Painted Stone.

Chandra is hella sweet in Legacy. She makes me want to play red in my blade deck instead of green.

Post board it's very easy to handle at least.

Whether this shell is any good cones down to how powerful the Trading Post + Connections engine is. It's imitating Necropotence + Corrupt, so we'll see. I like the ultra compact win-cons.

Because the deck revolves around red elemental blast and pyroblast, and the spirit guide makes mana on your opp's turn even after you're tapped out of your sol land.

I'd want to play heroic demise/downfall whatever somewhere in there, but that's more of a "shinny new card" factor. ratchet bomb also seems tricky since it blows up a lot of your own permanents. I imagine turns where you sac post to post, recur post, then crack bomb on 4 coming up a non insignificant number of times and that's a lot of work for durdling.

I just have this
thing where I like clear paths to winning the game besides haunted platemail. It exacerbates the control deck weakness of not being able to close games quickly.
You gotta understand, I love the beatdown. I really do. I always have.

Beatdown is hard, though.

You can literally counter Show & Tell on your turn 0.

This write up is a gorram mess, but here it is: http://www.starcitygames.com/article/26 ... ening.html

He brings up some interesting interactions. I'd be playing the shit out of this deck if a) I didn't hate winning with combos b) Imperial Recruiter is still expensive

@ LP; when you're in control you can typically win in 2-3 turns by activating 2 keyrune or keyrune + platemail; plus burn or a return etc. it's not TOO bad.

Ratchet bomb might be bad and I'm not even sure if I need it. Dies it even do anything other than kill enchantments? Are there any enchantments I MUST answer right now? I don't know.

How does it work? You will need at least a devotion of 5 to Red for that to work.
