Nice. You need to be Italian so you can just get envelopes filled with cash.

I'm 95% sure I'll be staying with somebody I met through a mutual friend on Facebook. $32 a night. There's a small chance it won't pan out. If it doesn't, I'll cross that bridge when I get there.

Nah, we registered for our honeymoon trip instead of the usual items for home. If the wedding guests fund that fully, we can go without using credit. Then I can pay for the LV trip with cash that I already have.

Dat disgust doe

What deck to play against RDW with or without G and GW Mastery of the slowdickplay ?

I expect my meta to be full of the first piloted by bad players at the gameday and I also want to punish those players we all hate playing this cancer.

I was going to say walkers is short for planeswalkers because I am paid by pharmaceutical corporations to write compelling advertisement copy for their products which shows a pedigree for writing worthy of millions of dollars in campaign building.

Ok guys I am probably crazy... however I think I found my love in this format.

Here comes... MARDU DRAGONS aka "ARDDRA". I solves it. mARDu DRAgons. ARDDRA.

Testing so far:
5-0 vs WG agro
5-0 vs BW agro (heavy black splash white humans)
3-2 vs RDW
5-0 vs Abzan agro
3-2 vs UB control.
5-0 vs Temur planeswalkers control

Played 2 pre and 3 post board games. vs red 2 times I couldnt draw 3rd land to cast anger when they overextended into my grandmaster (next turn slash and command me for 20, however if I had 3rd land I would gan ~18 life and sweep a board)

1-1 pre board, 2-1 post board vs control

Mana base needs to be tweeked (I would prefer to have 2 haven of the spirit dragon here. Deck is heavy red, with white secondary and black 3rd)

Needs to tweek maindeck and decide on sideboard (for games played thus far it looks good. Might want some plagues/4rd anger vs tokens/red? Dont know if I want 6 discard or some planeswalkers vs control to complement 4 phoenixes. And I think phoenixes are slightly better than rabblemaster here. Thoughts on that?)

[deck]4 Stormbreath Dragon
4 Crackling Doom
3 Anger of the Gods
2 Read the Bones
4 Nomad Outpost
3 Temple of Triumph
1 Temple of Malice
3 Temple of Silence
4 Bloodstained Mire
3 Battlefield Forge
2 Caves of Koilos
1 Swamp
3 Mountain
1 Ultimate Price
1 Utter End
3 Soulfire Grand Master
4 Thunderbreak Regent
2 Dragonlord Kolaghan
4 Draconic Roar
2 Kolaghan's Command
2 Foul-Tongue Invocation
3 Seeker of the Way
1 Haven of the Spirit Dragon

2 Read the Bones
4 Thoughtseize
2 Duress
4 Flamewake Phoenix
3 Surge of Righteousness
[/deck]

I think I'd be better convinced if it was 5-0 vs UB and Mono red rather than just 3-2.

Well it might not be the best deck around but it corresponds to cards I have access to right now. I do not have enough time due to work to prepare for Gameday, will probably end playing this. It looks fun wtih derpgons. :jam:

Atarka red vs. Shota UB control: REALLY CLOSE MATCHUP. Thinking of adding vault breaker to the board as it's overall probably the best plan against them and digs you too much needed gas(the games will go reasonably long in postboard games).

Sideboards interesting because a lot of the cards you can have in your board overlap matchups reasonably well and with the overall powerlevel of some of your cards/burn spells being so high, you don't lose much going down on board slots in many matchups.

Like against abzan agro, regardless of what your sideboard cards are, the matchup is basically play around dash by having some amount of dash threats in your deck, get some % points from there manabase, win easily if they don't draw multiple rhinos. Roast is great, but even if you don't have it in your deck, the matchup doesn't change THAT much(though roast is the 1 card I'd probably never touch along with at least 1 heelcutter).
You gotta understand, I love the beatdown. I really do. I always have.

Beatdown is hard, though.

Well, if you're playing sully's list, Sperling and Maher think it's very favorable for the UB deck postboard.

Me and Z thought that was slightly ambitious when we where watching it live on Sunday.

Raphael Levy posted an article about his Big Red List
http://magic.tcgplayer.com/db/article.asp?ID=12481

I really like the look of his list. I'd want more removal main rather than just six spells; eight feels like the right number.
