I think I'm in love with Osyp's Mardu deck, basically splash for a Doom n a few other cards.

Only 7 taplands just like Stark RW

Have you tried sending it in as a 2/2 first?

I don't care what anyone says about Ben Stark's list and low-curve, yada yada yada. Stormbreath Dragons are still fee wins. I want all the free wins I can get.

While I understand the sentiment, calling SBD free wins CAN'T be an accurate use of the term.
You gotta understand, I love the beatdown. I really do. I always have.

Beatdown is hard, though.

I lost count how many times my opponents said,"Well, that's a dragon." And then they proceeded to take 4 damage up the ass until dead.

Wow, Khaospawn, your lists have so much moxie I'm very tempted to play one of them at the up and coming PPTQ we're having at my LGS this weekend. Is Heliod's Pilgrim performing that well?

Can you please add 1 Dragon's Mantle or Hammerhand for versatility? This would make the pilgrim infinitely better, IMO.

I don't think those cards would add anything to the deck, plus I wouldn't want to remove anything for them. That being said, I'm not big on Pilgrim to begin with.

Problem is, there's a growing number of decks that just don't care about Stormbreath Dragon.

I just don't understand why the Pilgrim's better than a Valorous Stance, then.

Because the Pilgrim is a body and is good in the mirror for blocking tokens.

In my experience, V stance is better from the board.

I'm not trying to convince you. I'm just sharing what has worked for me.

On a side note, it doesn't look like RW will be getting much help with this new set. I'm okay with this though.

Hey guys, was out of game for a while and ended up looking for where RW was at cause its the only manabase I have right now and then I find another Khaos brew, they do me so well when getting back in after hiatus. Hope you dont mind if I try this out and tweak it for me meta bro.

On the RW front and Dragons, something I was looking at was some of the ETB triggers that could be up for shenanigans with Lightning berseker and Zurgobell striker.
I'll be messing around with Afaneza's creature ETB bolster 1 trigger, Impact Termors ETB 1 damage to opp, purp's ETB 2 damage

I will try your last list this afternoon Khaospawn. I would like to switch to Bne Stark RW but hadnt the time since 3 weeks to find additionnal SGM. Plus even less time to try it in good conditions so I will stick to a kind of deck I know very well.

My only issue at my LGS now is that RW is popping up everywhere and I'm getting real sick of the mirrors.

I decided to run it. R1 got steam rolled by RDW. Is that generally a bad matchup? I kind of feel like he just had sick rips.

Shouldn't be a bad match-up since you have infinite removal spells and every one of your cards is excellent against them except for too many Outposts or Rabbles.

Loss and drop to know silver level pro player playing UB control (0-2).

Maybe I'm just having rotten luck, but I feel like the deck doesn't have a leg to stand on vs Control.

Did not help that I got stuck on 3 lands.

I am going to take a break, probably until the DTK prerelease.

Rdw can be tough game 1 if you're drawing you're high end spells. You gotta lower the curve as much as you can post board. Arc Lightning helps a lot.

Hell, I've even ran morphed birds out there for chump blockers until i could stabilize.

LD, sounds like you're having just terrible luck. :gonk:

With that said, UB can be tricky at times. Mastery + Flyers postboard is my plan. Just jam all the threats.
