The Calvin and Hobbes thing was funny, but that show is so spastic. It's the TV Show personification of ADD.

You know that feeling when you lost a match, drew the next card to find that being the card that could win you the game? I think I will stop doing that to hurt my own feelings.
Yup.
Also, never look the top cards of your library after a mulligan, it may make you have second thoughts on a correct decision and taint your future mulligans.

I think it would be amazeballs if a good number of FoSers windstrider took a long weekend, rented a bunch of rooms at a hotel, and played EDH the whole time. With coke. And prostitutes. And was Veronique Meignaud.
There. Fixed that for me. :D

Yeah, well any of the rest of you chumps who want to move out this way will get your invites as well! :p Besides, Dan's wife dutifully tolerates our Magic-playing banter and his son has adopted me as his favorite tackling dummy and jungle gym! ;-)

Sorry,
but I'm not Jack Fiorella...no BBQ shipping setup here (referencing one of the premiere BBQ families from this area, who DOES offer KC BBQ shipped HOT to your door anywhere in the US); if you wants da goods, you gots to haul your asses out to Mark Twain's neighborhood.

In all seriousness, though...if any of you scrubs ever pass this way and want to take a day layover for an IRL clan meet, rest assured that you will be greeted with all the midwestern hospitality we can muster. My kids are pretty much carnivores so we fire up the Traeger more nights than not...an extra place at the table will always be here for my FoS family.

de facto for the larger percentage of the meta splits between black devotion, blue devotion, and esper.

de facto for us is probably pyrored :)

I've been having fun with LP's devotion red splashing green for mistcutter, domri, and a couple other cards. That deck can generate so much mana it's absurd.

It seems to be, but it's too slow for my tastes. My local meta is ruled by esper whether it's good or not, and no one wants to play aggressively, which pays off dividends for me (since most people don't even have sufficient sideboard material for aggro).

You do need to try to gay it up a little more.

You're like the least gay member of this clan.

Is anyone interested in a custom playmat? The tshirt idea seems to have fallen by the wayside (I suspect due to cost), and the sleeves will take ages. But we could do playmats pretty easily.

That'd actually be pretty legit. Though it would bring up the same issue/discussion sleeves had, on just what exactly to get e.e

(Though I might personality vote for the infamous steveargyle art, just with our logo ;P)

Price did seem to be an issue with the shirts. Custom shirts are nice, but no one wants to pay $25-30 for a T or twice that for a Polo and I can't blame them.

For the mat: I'd vote for Khaos's sig art with "Fires of Salvation" in a nice font on the bottom right.

Also, I like the mats that have an integrated life/poison counter, but that's certainly not a deal breaker.

I'd like a playmat. Should probably have Chandra on it. Where do you get custom ones? I like the mats with (clear) breaks in the design to designate different zones. IDK, but I'd definitely be down.

Re: playing, might be time to mono R pyromancer, my LGS is filling up with Esper and MBD, as expected. Took Dos Rakis to 3-2 finish with narrow third game loss against Bant Prophet and got shit on by Esper (like 4
RR spells with 3 Godless Shrine draw, then drew 14 lands game 2). Beat Dega mid, GW Aggro, and GW Aggro.

The full-size image has plenty of space for a life counter like this on the side:
Image

Though, I think I'd prefer just having two rows of 9-0 for the life total and one row of 0-9 for Poison counters.

If we dont do a bulk order, we could even make a template with the FOS logo, and everyone could apply it to their art of choice.

Personally not a fan of life counter, because I play with the deck on the left and you can't use them for competitive events anyway. But majority vote is fine by me on that.

Will link to site when i get to a computer
