What do you guys think about a singleton Keening Apparition main deck? In my current meta I'm expecting to play mainly G/R, MBC and U/w control, so it has a decentish range against all 3 (courser of kruphrix, underworld connections+whip, detention sphere+blind obedience). Even if it whiffs on enchan...

FWF sucks. Lifebane is better. my problem with FWP is that the "no tribute penalty" is an ETB trigger, so if you play it and I have lightning bolt or helix, I don't pay the tribute and then in response to the ETB trigger I just bolt it. LBZ is a house, especially with B/W and Ephara decks...

I still can't decide between R/w, R/b and dega for burn post-BotG. R/w means I can play Chained to the Rocks, Boros Charm, Assemble the Legion, Boros Reckoner and Warleader's Helix. CttR is probably going to get worse as people play more enchantment hate (plenty of decks playing revoke existence and...

Also quite like this list. It gets round the problem of Drown in Sorrow by having a lot of "1-shot" creatures like Viashino and Spark Trooper. I also like the idea of Boros charming Spark trooper, although in practice you won't make the 5th land drop and have both cards in hand that often....

Thinking of playing this next week. The local meta is pretty heavy on the control/midrange decks, so the sideboard is more tuned towards those match-ups. If you're expecting to face lot of control decks then move satyr firedancer to sideboard and SFD to main, would also play ash zealot over YP (bas...

Nah boarding in glare is fine. I've seen those guys sideboard in things like Fiendslayer and Archangel of Thune for game 2, also Elspeth. It's rare that you won't have targets for it (the thing I hate game two against those guys is sin collector out of the board)

Yeah I see where you're coming from, but I always fancy my chances against green anyway, whereas the matches I find harder (MBD and U/w), zealot is better. Also I prefer the "bait and switch" effect you get from going full Aggro, to control for game 2, so need the zealots in game 1 to sell...

I think the best sideboard tech against U/w is to bring in 4 Spirit of the Labyrinth. That deck is already playing 4 boros charm main, so as long as you can keep one alive then turns Sphinx's rev in to a very expensive stream of life, and a 3/1 body for 2 mana is pretty sweet against U/w in itself :)

I can see where Val is coming from, I did feel a bit disillusioned when the new black sweepers were initially spoiled, as I like playing fast beatdown decks, and that strategy is definitely going to be weaker now. What do you guys think about Herald of Torment in the R/b list? The life loss isn't such a big deal unless you are playing against red or aggro and good for tempo if you use it as a bestow (also bestowed on to Exava is pretty sweet, as very few creatures can kill her blocking)

The Dos Rakis list would be best in that meta. Against B/x and UW you'll want an explosive start and against G/R a ton of terror-effect removal, Dos Rakis does all of these well. As a bonus you get Toil // Trouble out of the board, which is a beating for control
