Playing in a pptq next Saturday, finally bought guides. Is the green splash worth it? Should I play nacatl? Or just play rw to combat an aggro heavy/groxis meta

Sitting 3-1 as well, best two abzan and gb devotion. Lost to this crazy abzan return the ranks deck running hangar back walker, grave strength and that two drop from origins that gains life for each creature named the sam.

My line of thinking was to stall as long as I could until I could clear his board. The idea of getting a spell out of his hand seemed right at the time. I'd rather him trigger towards on my end step than on a huge swing

I wild slashed the mentor because my play was to draw protection spells out of his hands. I was on the stall with green hornets tokens so I didn't want him to be able to set up a lethal attack giving a mentor or seeker pro green. The announcers messed up a bit, there was a dice on the mentor tokens ...

I have a sneaking suspicion Mantis Rider might be popular this weekend, so idk if I'd want to cut a lightning strike. Although lightning strike is pretty poor vs gr devotion and the 4th wild slash would be better there as well as against mono red.

Did you ever have a turn 1 where your only 1 drop was a berserker? I could see it being a 2 zurgo /1 berserker split. How were the two dragon fodders? What was your SB strategies for the matchups? Looks like you don't even need to SB for jeskai (assuming you had what I posted) Nice job on the finish

We have randomly tested it, it sure make mulling better. I think it will go into effect as well. However it doesn't influence my decision to mull 7 card hands. I pretty much mull every 1 land hand I don't care how many 1 drops it has.

MDU, I have played close to 150 games with Abbot now, and the reward is often worth the risk. I have no issues running him out on t2 just to setup a big t3 atarks command attack, Granted I am playing a less token oriented build and one with more 1-drops. If you play him on t5, you can cast stoke off...

Really glad to be discussing burn with you again. This is not a burn deck, this is atarka red from the past two seasons that cut a 1 drop and become immense and added a burn spell. Control is on the rise, and this deck gets pushed out due to the tokens, then a bigger red deck comes along. Cycle con...

I dislike having 6 weak cards vs control, and only 3 cards to bring in. UB players at my store have 8-10 cards for the matchup.

I think we all agree rabble master is the best 3 drop, but I don't think he's best for the burn heavy build we are looking to brew here. It's possible We put him in just because he is the nuts. I have not tested new Chandra because I just can't think of a matchup where her presence increases my win %

I don't put much stock in His lists, they are certainly untuned. Sometimes he just jams four-ofs into the deck. Granted that list is pretty stock... Scab clan is bad in the current meta imo.

I really want new Chandra to be good, but I really can't think of a match up she would excel in
