I play in a meta with an alarmingly high number of people on RG monsters, or trying to making Selesyna or Golgari aggro work, so I maindeck LBZ. I love it. Even if it whiffs, it's still a 3 power (normally) unblockable beater that lets me get free information on their hand. I don't think I'd want to...

It bothers me greatly that we have to play an awful card like Specter but it is what it is I guess Since you're the better deckbuilder I'll trust your judgment on this one Pedros Specter isn't awful. He can take over games if left unchecked, and his higher toughness really helps. I don't know, I th...

Now, I'm a terrible deck-builder but would Xathrid Necromancer help shore up the red aggro matchup? I see there's discussion about having him in the sideboard anyway since he synergises well with the humans (and thus Mutavault ), and is therefore good against MBD and various Supreme Verdict-heavy co...

Hey guys, a few pages ago I mentioned I was taking this list to a PTQ. I went 3-3 in the end, which whilst pretty far from good I'm not unhappy with because it was my first major tournament (only FNMs prior to this). I made a lot of misplays, I'm sure, but it was a good learning experience. I also d...

Been out of the loop for a few weeks, but taking this list to a PTQ on Saturday. Is Rod of Ruin still good tech in the sideboard or should I just put in another Last Breath?

You have to deliberately download the regular client, I believe. I'm not sure it's even available to download in the US anymore, if that's where you are. I'd love to get into MTGO since I only get to play paper Magic once a week, but I can't to hoard cards in both at the moment, so sadly Cockatrice ...

Great videos again, MDU. Nice to see the deck preying so well on monoblack. When they're scrabbling to draw removal you know you're doing something right!

Also, when your phone went off I went searching for my own because you have the exact same ringtone and I thought someone was calling me!

MDU and others in here: I'm sorry to be a fanboy who just copies all of your lists to test, but I'm still new at Magic and red magey-ness, so I'm trying to learn from the best (the FoS'ers on this forum :D), and... wow. I love that burn list. I've been testing on Cockatrice all day, and it seems to ...

Xenagos will rule once Chandra rotates out

calling it
Xenagos won't be in a Standard without Chandra, though. This was her first Core Set appearance, so she'll be reprinted in M15 guaranteed.

I've found with a friend of mine who uses Dragonshields that the sleeves have a habit of "sticking" together, making leafing through a deck and shuffling difficult, almost as if there's some sort of rubbery friction thing going on. Is that normal?

Ok to all. Why play 3 chandra? I understand it is good, imo the best planeswalker in standard, but having it as a 3 - of makes it wierd when we have 2 of them in hand. Personally I love Pyrewind Shaman, as it enables a way to get rid of reaper of the wilds - card that is extremely hard to get rid o...

Hello again everyone :) I just thought I'd say I took the PyroWhite version to FNM last night and went undefeated. I used a slightly tweaked version of MDU's PyroWhite, which is of course in turn a tweaked version of zemanjaski's. Obviously my FNM is not a particularly high-skill meta, so take every...

I don't feel the need to change my 60, but my sideboards need work. I'm going to do away with my conditional finishers Act of Treason and Fanatic of Mogis and opt for an additional Skullcrack and Last breath to complement my Rod - all that left is to decide on a non-conditional finishers: choices a...

I suppose the odds of not drawing into a red source were higher than the odds of drawing into a red source, so the Mutavault was two damage guaranteed on turn two. On a side note, I've finally managed to acquire all the pieces for the Walter White variant of this deck, and my God it's a house. I lov...

Regarding the BTE / Ash question, given the prevalence of Doom Blade 1-for-1 removal decks, and the lack of opportunities for first strike to shine, I'm inclined to agree with the majority that BTE just works better right now. Also, hello everyone! I post in the MTSalvation thread, and just wanted t...
