Pretty much. This isn't a deck that works well if you try to become overly reactive. The deck is primarily aggressive. I get that. And when I was running G/R monsters I was consistently able to run over those threats. I guess an instant removal that allows me to deal with non-monocolored cards like...

I have played jund monsters for a couple of weeks now. Last week a won Game Day at a small shop with it. Last night at FNM I got crushed (went 1-3). Obzedat and Blood Baron were particularly troublesome. I just didn't see mortars when needed for the Baron. But Obzedat seems like a problem for this d...

In the R/B decks that have been brought up lately there is even more recursion (Tymaret, Pyromancer, and Phoenix). Would Foundry Street Denizen be worth considering as a one drop? It could provide a decent hit late game.

I am probably misunderstanding this statement, but doesn't stormbreath dragons pro white keep Boros Charm from working with it?G1: On the play. I keep 6, he keeps 7. He hits me with 2x Last Breath, but I ride a dragon protected with Boros Charm for the win.

I agree with Stuffydoll on a number of points following running Redthirst's list myself. I had a number of games where I just couldn't close out the game. I plan to bring back Thundermaw. While I really like Mutavault, I feel 4 may be too many.Chandra's Phoenix and Loyalist both help the deck IMO. I...

Nuwen -- congratulations. Thanks for the report. That was certainly not scrub Magic. :) I'm curious as to everyone's thoughts on Tribute to Hunger. I'm just not satisfied with that card, but it looks like it's been doing some good work in the deck. I'm thinking about adding it back in to my SB. Had...

I've played Toil / Trouble in Dega Burn and the card is the absolute nuts against draw-go decks. It's an excellent top deck and a good turn three play as well. Against Sphinx's Revelation.dec you'll be getting in for 6-7 on turn three if you're on the play unless your opponent has a Syncopate, and ...

I took out pillars in favor of main deck dreadbore about a month ago. I felt like I needed more answers to big creatures especially Reckoner. I now play the pillars and spears md and dreadbore SB and have had much better results with that set up. Pillars pick off so many things early while you set u...

I do like the show, my only complaint is with the actor playing Hannibal. Why exactly does he have to have such a heavy accent? Anthony Hopkins didn't have a heavy accent at all. I just find myself missing dialog sometimes and that bothers me. I love the story, and the writing is well above average.

I ran the current Dos Rakis list for the second consecutive week. I mowed through mainly control and mid-range (although I did beat a Gruul Aggro deck) . My only loss before the finals was a mirror. In the finals I lost a close one to a Green, Red, Blue control. I couldn't be happier with where this...

hi
Hello all! I started playing MTG with my son during the Lorwyn set. I took a break around the time of Scars of Mirrodin. Got playing again in this fall and can't believe I ever quit! Recently I have noticed that many of my favorite contributors to MTG Salvation seemed to be going away. Glad to find ...
