Last days of burn
Here is what I would be running now in this online meta: [deck=HK's final list] Enchantments 3 3 Chained to the Rocks Burn 24 4 Shock 4 Lightning Strike 3 Magma Jet 3 Skullcrack 4 Boros Charm 4 Warleader Helix 2 Searing Blood Creatures 8 4 Chandra's Phoenix 4 Young Pyromancer Planeswalkers 2 2 Chand...

@neo Well Jund Walkers is an interesting matchup. So far it has heavily depended on G1 and what I have shown him. So here are some of the things that influence my sideboard game: Did the game go long enough for him to deduct that I dont run any creatures? Did I show him Assemble? Did I show him Elsp...

Assemble, Ram, Mutavaults are our main defense vs Frostburn weird and Master of waves, outside of the clutch chained to the rocks. They have boarded Bident IN against me so wear // tear get's boarded in as well (also for hall of triumph). It is by the skin of your pants sometimes, going down to 2-3...

Seems fun, but is the % against Mono U any better than with burn? Actually the Mono U matchup has been surprisingly good! The post board game is quite stable in my opinion, as long as you play passively. The main threats to remove become raptor, NVS, the owl and Thassa, especially with a PW on boar...

Update on RW Control
Last time I posted I said that a 3-1 and a 4-0 dont make it a deck... But 6x 3-1 and 1x 4-0 out of a total of 7 attempted dailies is a rock solid 75%+ win ratio over 28 matches. I tuned it somewhat more and here is my current updated version, that I ran for the last 2 dailies: [deck= HK's RW Control...

RW Control
The funfactory, consisting of Lazer, dauntless, MDU and myself have been going a little crazy with some more "out there"-ideas. One of them has been a long dream of ours: RW Control So far I've taken it 3-1 and 4-0 in Dailies. A total of three losses so far (2x R1 of SE's and one in the fi...

Whoever thinks that rabble red is a bad MU for burn
This is what a rabble red player wrote me after being beat 2-0 in R1 of the daily: "FunnyJS: Last 10~ matches ive played have been against this stupid fucking deck. Tired of wasting money on this fucking game to get matched against a 0% win rate deck over and over again uninstalling it now"...

I don't play as UW control often, but from burn's side I would much rather attack for 1 damage and them draw one card than attack for 2 damage and them draw 3 cards. Divination + gain 2 life is better than Nyx-Fleece Ram, IMO. Which is why, ironically, you've drawn the wrong conclusion. If you get ...

Jund Walkers can ramp out threats that both out-race and out-value burn (Nissa/Xenagos/Etc) while clogging the ground with the Caryatid/Courser package. Post board they can exile Phoenix and Duress you. So on paper the matchup appears bad, and in testing against good pilots it's been bad. While pla...

Chandra is a powerhouse in the rabblered matchup. Best case scenario: She takes completely over because he is already in top decking mode. T4 scenario: She hits the board, eats two spells. I had a second to follow up once and both at high life totals, he conceded then and there. Knowing he took a ga...

I think at this point, we could play any variation posted within the last 15 pages and focus on becoming better players rather than supa-analyze miniscule tweaks. I don't agree - on this forum I'm most likely the most consistence player producing results (online at least, but I figured online its t...

I think the miniscule changes are both. Big impact and sometimes nothing at all. Problem is that the online meta learns our deck too... quite slowly but they learn it. Black decks keeping in heroes downfall vs us for instance is partly because they have learned that most play chandra. Making small c...

I dont know how impressed I am with the whole Mana-denial plan with Peak erruption. Ive even had a Jund Planeswalker deck fire off some weird Ravnica sourcery for RG3 i think? It destroys target land and gives you one from your library onto battlefield. Flooding is more of an issue with me than bein...

My answer to fiendslayer vs control is still flamespeaker. The downside is it's also answered by last breath or celestial flare but it's also not potentially a dead card that also doesn't turn planar cleansing into a blowout. Although I can see doing both if they are on paladins and you're trying t...

Rabblemaster does such a good impression of YP, I must give him a try. Im going to test this for some events. If I like him, I'll try to squeeze in another into the main. @platypus how did he beat you g1? Would you have won, if you had known you are playing against walkers? This is a serious question. My opponents cast Chandra, xenagos, Lilliana, vraska, courser, RR, caryatids and removals. The games didn't go long enough for them to tutor a BG garruk or have it in h...

Oh fuck yeah! Mono blue! Switch that with Jund :) Actually it was 3 matches all going 2-0. Still the sample size of course is laughable to make a judgment empirical. But honestly I don't see how they win vs burn. When was the last time UW control beat you using elspeth ulti? And they actually have w...

@Valdarith I find it quite risky to play a deck that is basically a bye vs burn or UW control. Ok I find it downright stupid. You WILL face either deck in any larger event. Just like we cant really afford to be too weak against Jund midrange. Yes it is only 6-8% of the meta, but you cant just flat i...

I'm 3 and 0 vs Jund walkers so far. Seems like this deck was built without Boros burn in mind. So fucking weak to us. It plays itself like burn in an eternal format. Ignore all planeswalkers, send everything to the face, and win. Even xenagos. The great thing about him is that he stays at 3 or 4 loy...

I wouldnt play pillar vs monoU, if you are on the MDU-list. Post board you already bring in +2 BL, +1 Stoke, +2-3 Chandra, +3 MM. Thats 17 cards total (with cttr and WLH), that can answer Frostburn Weird. I count Chandra as well because she turns 4 LS into a kill for Frostbourn Weird. An out of cont...

EDIT: Haven't been seing Wear//Tear in many lists lately. Is the general consensus that UWx isn't super popular and enchantments are kind of hated out with the printing of back to nature? Kind of. Done with playing around with the 4 new cards and I see we have mostly come to the same conclusions: 2x hushwing SB: it's good enough for 2, but not for three imo. I think bringing in Hushwing is still a good idea vs. Mono Black. The problem with Gray Merchant isn't the life-gain, it's the potential for large life drain to kill you. The only problem is it turns on their Lifebane Zombie, but I'd have to imagine they board that out fearing Searing Blood. Also, ...

If you tap out for stoke without SC backup in the mirror you deserve too lose..... Stoke is just additional four damage spell, its not the most efficient spell but in many of the longer grinder games that extra damage becomes pivotal (what would you rather top in the latter game Shock or Stoke?).
