Went 0-3 drop at the 2k, played mediocrely and couldn't find keepable hands. Lost 2-1 Dega (1 mana from killing him g3), 2-1 loss mono U (mulligan to oblivion g3) and lost B/R 2-0. Maybe more to come after I've slept, though fon't know how much I can say. Never drew Pyrewild once. There's still a to...

I'd echo running AiR build if on a budget, it's very good (and I pick that style every now and then as a wake up call to my playgroup if I ever feel they're gettig soft to it ;) . Beginning my travel to this big tournament (my good friend top 8ed today vs 309 other players which was awesome), and wi...

Can't find a Rod of Ruin, so I'll have to see if the singles dealer brought full sets.
They had 310 people for today's PTQ, so a decent chance of a pretty big turnout tomorrow. Don't know whether there's any coverage though.

currently 2-1 with 1x Dragon in the main. Lost to B/R when I drew more lands than spells both games. Including hitting Mountains with Chandra each time.

Yeah, I've been hearing a lot of talk about Golg Charm here.

I've found Wear//Tear backbreaking here (getting Esper with it is the best feeling), so IMO it's a valid choice. Certainly solid to deal with a lifelink cloak.

Zooligan - I believe the hexproof matchup had been defined as harder; fundamentally it's rather different.

Ultimately Esper is playing 2-3 MD Devour Flesh etc. so I figure the deck will get crushed fairly reliably by a lot of the decks at the tournaments.

Assault is OK but I'd rather spend a slot on a more powerful card with wider applications than it.

resolving a Chandra and pushing to ultimate can also be real given they only have D Sphere to answer her.

I remember it seming like most game losses came from failure to be able to cast Advent.

Like positive winrates but some those were people misplaying against Voice etc.

G/W is awful, I tested it for approximately a day before laughing at the manabase and selling the cards.

Pretty sure there's going to be enough green midrange to be on Zealot/Pyrewild this weekend, I think.

You're English too LaZerBurn? Haha.
I lost to U/W Cuneo godhand in game 3, still rolled him game 2 with quick start. Hopefully Boros Charms/Skullcracks will be good enough this weekend versus that.

Haha, netdecking comments will be amusing this weekend when I travel to the capital for a £2k. :p Anyways I should have a better sideboard this week. Notably though seen a lot of people tracking down MU Devotion cards in the country very recently. Still not sure whether to find space for that Rod of...

And yeah I was chatting to the BR player after (who was on our WMC team) and he was going on a lot about not being able to find things like Anger of the Gods (he did g1) and I made it clear t...

3-1 today with standard YP Walter White build. -Beat all in red heroic, game 1 he god drew me, but games 2 + 3 Chandra + Shocks annihilated all his guys. -beat RG ramp 2-1, nothing much to say, fine aggro starts in both games I won. -lost to B/W 2-1, was very human-heavy with plenty of Soldiers, Cap...

I think Boros Charm is going to be reasonable if people are going to be playing something like the Naya control list, as they seem to be geared toward using Anger/Mortars overload to take us out of the game. And obviously Verdict decks.

Got it, derped for a second.

Caryatid really isn't a big deal.
sure thing.

For me it's better to identify what could possibly be problematic and then check off whether it actually matters rather than walk in blind. So thanks for the note.

I just tell them to go ahead and pick up the deck and win an event with it..because if they don't then clearly that's just embarrassing themselves under their own incorrect logic. Other than that, you just gotta play the game though. Kinda sucks though. I guess when it comes to people that i don't t...

Pardon me sounding like an idiot, but what is RSF? Shred Freak. (Embarrassing outside Fanatic of Mogis) And I'll have to test the Boros too. My only concern is that it's the Caryatid-heavy draws which are quite tough without either Jester/Chainwalker to press through. I miss having a home for Ghor-...

Hi, first post here. Really enjoying the quality of conversation here compared to...other places. I played R/x aggro and variants for the vast majority of last Standard season, top8ed PTQ with R/G, top 8ed WMCQ with Naya Blitz etc. After a bit of a break it's time for me to focus on R aggro again. H...
