 Seems like a reasonable change. As sweet as the value you get from phoenix is, I think it's relatively slow and weak in the format for 3 mana. Bloodsoaked champion seems better for recurring beatdown. Haven't played with that card myself though (and you're already playing a set :D ) My ex...

You should stream this deck and archive it so I can watch it! ;)

I really like v1.04 on paper.
The SB Bloodchief Ascension and Boil looks real hot, though.

Played a few matches last night, still haven't lost. Will run that exact list tomorrow morning on stream. My inclusion of Volcanic Fallout seems to have coincided perfectly with the rise of UR Delver / YP$ decks for some reason. Feels good. Did you end up not streaming, or was it just not archived?...

I wasn't trying to bash the deck and I don't neccessarily think it's easy to play. You do indeed have to make the correct choices(well, at least with the revealing discard spells), what I meant was that your only angle of attack is discarding their hand and dropping a set of racks. You have no alter...

I tried this deck online and didn't like it at all. I felt it was too dependant on your opening hand, that it was extremely linear and had very little chance of making a come back off of a bad start. The highlight was playing liliana, since it's such a strong card. I just wanted to express my apprec...

Yeah. My point was that that taking 1 card out of your opponents hand and putting 3 2/2's into play by turn three doesn't feel like "the nuts". Especially not in the current modern meta.

Squadron hawk is pleasantly surprising me.

I put a list together last night after seeing some guy getting some nice finished in DE's lately. I played mostly rogue decks in the practice rooms last night, but the deck felt good. My main issue with this deck now and while I've played token-esque decks in the past is that they don't really have ...

Ah yes, Canonist my old friend! She's indeed a great Storm hoser, but too narrow, I fear. If only I could build a 30 card sideboard, THEN those Storm jerks would have to pay! I'm pleased with dropping the black splash as well, it was more cute than useful. What deck did you smash against mine? It's...

Ethersworn canonist is the obvious storm hoser. It's pretty narrow though (well, now that I think of it it's also pretty good against ad nauseam, I guess I should try it out more), but they need exactly ligntning bolt to get rid of it. Otherwise I like graveyard hate since it has more applications,...

I confidently took the deck to an 8-man tonight. Lost in round 1 against Cifka on uw. Game 2 I made some pretty bad plays, but both game 2 and 3 archangel of thune , fiendslayer paladin and even soldier of the pantheon made the games neigh impossible. I don't think I even got him down to double burn...

Courser of Kruphix , while a problematic life gainer also lets you know exactly what to play around. Playing around the bounce part of far//away when using searing blood hadn't come up for me before and I would surely have played into it. Instead, using 3(!) searing blood on a courser in the oppone...

I quit standard completely after theros-standard stabilized. After watching zem on CBF I had to pick the deck up and give it a whirl. This deck is seriously the bee's knees.

That's all.

@ Chma You wrre playing Dega? How did the matchup feel? Did you have any way to deal with the three dragons outside mizzium mortars / Doomblade / hero's downfall? From just the 2 games I can't tell much. The first game I thought it was just regular rdw and felt safe after removing his early threats...

Sweet primer! I was under-valueing the dragon a lot because his smaller body compared to his brother from m13 (silly me, right!) Then today I had it played against me in a daily, oddly enough for the first time, while trying out the dega midrange deck. Then another one. And another one. I think the ...

I just 3-1'd my first attended Theros daily with a straight rip of a list zemanjaski posted a few pages back. I made some bad misplays and I'm not a great player in general or pilot of this deck, but hells I can feel the potential in this, and I'd like to think my improvement as well. There seems to...
