Anyone have experience with a Pyro build against the new Naya Control list? Yeah currently 3-1 against it, it's basically Dega without Reckoner so a bit easier. Yes I agree, I am 1-1 vs it. Just lost to in in a DE due to getting stuck on lands and drawing all my chains vs a stormbreath dragon. Over...

I thought about trying some dailies but I'm very new at MTGO and I don't quite have all the mechanics down yet. I'd probably get smashed by some noob because I can't figure out how to work my triggers or do things at the beginning/end of certain phases. Just don't play the beta and you should be ok...

quick question how many DtR grind Dailies? Aside from Z I havn't seen anyone else
I try and play in a few every week. I went 3-1 yesterday on MonoRed (2 mutavault, 20 mountain, reckoner + mogis SB plan); Mono U was mean to me in the Final Round

Ran into Mono U in the 4th round and was pretty rough, definitely need more practice vs the deck. Seems like you really need to sand bag mortars for the MoW tokens and clean up Tidebinder mage's, weirds, etc... Didn't get to see Fanatic or Reckoner unfortunately =/ Still finished 3-1, the MU vs MBC ...

Just finished Round 1 of a DE, MBC is honestly a bye. 2-0 so quickly and I was congratulated with expletives from the opponent.

Feeding demons elementals, skull cracking gary and faltering blockers for lethal with Chandra.... =)

Must be doing something right!

My current list hedging towards the Mono U and R matchups while still maintaining strong Mono B and explosiveness of MonoRed Pyro, at the cost of 2 Mutavaults [deck] Lands - 22 20 Mountain 2 Mutavault Creatures - 24 4 Firedrinker Satyr 4 Rakdos Cackler 4 Burning Tree Emissary 4 Young Pyromancer 4 Fi...

I'm really thinking we need a separate thread for the Walter White variant. It plays out much differently than the new PyroRed lists with BTE. Is anyone up to the challenge for writing a Primer, or should we just steal from this thread to start the discussion and see what develops? Also MDU is movi...

Maybe the best feel ever? Esper at 12 his EOT t6 4 mountains untapped hand full of burn: lightning stirke you, Rev for 3 in response for no reason at all, skull crack; untap lightning strike into skull crack I envy those smart enough to play control =P 2-1 in this DE going into r4; got Domri'd / Pol...

RB is so bad against straight mono red :( Absolutely, One if the reasons I am on a variant of your straight mono red Zem. Although I so badly want to play thoughtseize Aggro in this format, however the Black base aggro decks (like Ari Lax's PT deck) and the Red splash black seem poorly positioned r...

Dreadbore might be less favorable since it cannot hit MoW, though.
Absolutely, this is largely why Ult and Doom were in the 75 which is definitely not efficient use of slots

I've liked Dreadbore the best TBH; although I've been running some number of Ults and Doom in the SB Really accentuates the power of YP$ although you dilute your burn and then your Pheonixes get sad and you have less tools to close with; so I'm not convinced running so many terrors in the 75 is actu...

Absolutely I agree, White definitely helps more vs aggro; however I am unsure which is best for a midrange meta like we are facing now. For example we don't have reckoner in our mono-red 75 (and obviously no Chains) I have found Thoughtseize with YP$ to be absolutely bonkers FWIW Helios: I absolutel...

Could another acceptable way to combat doom blade be moving to a more black creature base to better invalidate their removal? I.e. spike jester and Tymaret at 2? Haven't done enough testing in the current meta (mono U and B everywhere) as it compares to BTE & FFS monored; however I know it is ve...

Is it just me or is standard shaping up to be less fun than it was? =/ I was really enjoying the original PyroRed in the grindy creature matchups and control as opposed to now it feels like were playing a sligh / swarm game against midrange stuff. Feels like BTE and FFS make us much more linear aggr...

Absolutely agree, BTE and FFS give the deck a much more sligh feel rather than being more grindy with more burn/removal + ash zealot in earlier versions and Boros

I find myself gold fishing people out with much much much more regularity than with the other versions of the deck

Yeah devo Gruul is real tough for mono R; joke for Boros. "Oh? Polukranos? Legendary, feared hydra? Minotaur Wizard turns sideways, blocks?" Yeah I can see that, miserable for PyroRakdos as well. Ooze actually bothers me the most gaining them life and eating my pheonix and tyramet so I ca...

Don't know if I'm going to gameday tomorrow but if I do I'll be bringing Dos Rakis, referred to coloquially as "haste.dec," "that no skill deck," "that Jew deck," or "the cheesy deck" depending on who you ask. What does your Rakdos build look like right now? ...

Does anyone have experience against the RG devotion deck with Arbor Colossus, Polukranos, voyaging satyr, nykthos, Garruk, BTE, etc?

Lost against it in the finals for Gameday and I just played it again on MODO. Feels really bad to me, they go way over the top so fast, maybe I've only seen their nut

It depends a lot on what you're seeing. I like the Boros version more than Mono Red, but MODO dictates I play mono red. Right, I see it as Mono Red is better for the black midrange/control like you were saying, the Boros gives you a better aggro/midrange matchup and the Rakdos is best for control. ...

Went 5-2 overall in a local gameday finishing 2nd. Played PyroRakdos, made top 8 (at 3-1) then lost in the finals. Disruption with YP$ is actually the nut in the controlling/Midrange MUs. Still unsure if Tyramet is too cute, the upside with SB act of treason for midrange has been very strong. Happy ...

One of the Canadian guys is up, but he's playing mono red.
Yeah, David Caplan seems to be on AIR with BTE, firefist striker, foundry street denezin and goblin shortcutter.

Is this your brew with the Canadians Zem? Doesn't seem like you at all

BTW thank you so much for all the content Zem and co. Really amazing stuff, there's no better way to get back to mono red =)
