My locals isn't the best meta: -Abzan Control -Counterburn -RW Heroic deck with a player that must be new...he used that one mana white spell that adds protection from a color, then tried to target it with Temur Battlerage. -RW Aggro Came up against a strange Temur deck giving me problems. I've been banned from there about 4 times now...they only catch me when I decide to talk about how much I liked Matthew Stover's Tezzeret novel. I'd swear they were practically telling me to slap some TRIGGER WARNINGS all over my praise for the book. Apparently some the MTGS crew got pissy with Stov...

Temur has fallen out of favor, it seems. Even Kibler has ditched the blue splash for a straight Red-Green approach. Now that we have Fate Reforged spoiled, I think he made the right decision. What follows is my take on RG Aggro Midrange Maybe, utilizing some of our new three drops. Creatures 4 Elvis...

My experiment was, overall, a flop. Keeping mana open for Tymaret and Bloodsoaked Champion was a bit too much of a hindrance, as these were competing with Butcher and the like. I think I will continue to stick strictly with midrange, and will be giving this list a spin: http://sales.starcitygames.co...

I didn't see a thread for this deck. Briefly, it is based around Veteran Explorer and Cabal Therapy . You get a chance for some disruption and, usually, one-sided mana acceleration. The deck has a number of variants, including Junk Fit, Punishing Jund Fit, and BUG Fit. I'm looking at going with Rock...

I'm now convinced in the advantages of Rattleclaw Mystic and Heir of the Wilds over Sylvan Caryatid and Courser of Kruphix.

My only concern would be playing too many SBD if you're also playing Elspeth which limits how useful her -3 can be from a topdeck situation. If Elspeth were in my 75 I would lean a bit heavier on Sarkhan, but it's a pretty minor issue. At this point, you are also running a pretty heavy top end, say...

I'm thinking about adapting Brad's RWb within the shell of an older Mardu deck that was BRw. Anger seems good against the little red guys and the RG/Temur builds. I've faced a few of those, and being able to wipe the dorks has been key to me being able to beat them...I've liked Chandra in my list; Lili seems a tad better if you can swing the double Black in her cost. Did you also play Thoug...

My list moves ever closer to yours, NBW. Still, I really like Caryatid as that mostly untouchable accel. Dies to sweepers, but is otherwise decent. Since I have all these comes into play tapped lands, I chose Rattleclaw in lieu of Elvish Mystic. Or Sylvan Caryatid in lieu of Elvish Mystic. Creatures...

Why not swap Brimaz for Master of the Feast? Your mana base skews R splash B, and I think it'd be easier to land this one than Brimaz. Seems like you get more value, too.

NBW: If you expect Butcher of the Horde, maybe bring in a Sarkhan, or two, to deal with it. Here's my latest list. Having seen the Heir in some Abzan builds, I wonder if it might not merit a second look here. Creatures 4 Sylvan Caryatid 4 Rattleclaw Mystic 3 Heir of the Wilds 4 Goblin Rabblemaster 4...

I look forward to hearing back from you Eldub. Does Master of the Feast have a place in BR variants of Mardu, in place of Brimaz? A 5/5 flier for three seems pretty potent, but its the drawback that I'd be concerned with.
