I love GoyfGate. Such a clusterfuck of over-aggression on all sides. I also like the idea that WOTC put the foil Goyf in intentionally.

Normally it wouldn't have happened because they replace foil with normal card because the stamp does not stay well on foil layer (and other reasons I don't know).

I asked a TO about where are going the foil cards that normally get replaced for drafts such as Day 2/Top8 drafts. His answer was evasive, I pretty sure they keep it for themselves.

I also like the idea that WOTC put the foil Goyf in intentionally.

I've been contemplating the same thing. It was pretty sweet how it worked out though. Since players are told to count cards before flipping the pack over, he ended up putting the Goyf in front, so it was staring at him when he flipped the pack over.
