They kept it open, and as an oversight I wasn't "demodded" there for the entire duration of my between-tenures period. I posted a couple troll post in their GRRRR. This time I was actually kicked out, so I trolled its SYM. After that, the forum was disabled with the message "MTGS is online". laffo

You know GR, your story makes me ponder on how that site has treated and eaten its best people, starting with Kijin, then Azrael, Brandon, and finally you (not because you sucked as mod, but because you were admin on a blacklisted site).

Since it is common knowledge that the Ancient Greeks made a myth for every possible human trait/social interaction, I started thinking what myth would apply the best.

I didn't need to think long. MTGS is like Saturn, who will devour its children at the slightest hint they might be better/more competent than him, least they risk overtaking its place.

Goya also put it in a very nice painting. Behold the iridium:

Yes, many pieces of Russian art from their Classical period are just stunning both in their detail and their subject matter. Many people think of Russia as a very depressing place because of the art, that often just points out the most grisly parts of human nature.

And then there was the thing about the CoC non-disclosure agreement. God that pissed me off so bad; sure, you shouldn't talk about "mod stuff" but how does some meme in the GRRR count as "mod stuff"? The staff just at some point decided that any conversation behind the wall should be considered confidential because they don't. trust. their. mods. instead of just taking a step back and realizing that there's almost literally nothing that's so bad it needs to be kept there. I know that there was at least one case of someone who wanted to post about the toxic atmosphere in the GRRR but just couldn't because it was non-disclosable.

And it was confusing and infuriating that, because of that, every comment from behind the wall was considered "better," like terribad jokes were considered the height of humor... of course you're going to be able to pretend you're a good comedian when you have a trapped audience who's forced to laugh! There was actually a Twilight Zone about that very thing.

Notice the contour and texture inherent to the piece. The flow of the lines brings you straight to the center, while the facade in the distance draws the eye as well. Truly an inspirational piece, indicating the brevity of man in a world built for turmoil and little else.

I mean Goya was just a fucked up motherfucker. That dude saw so much bullshit it messed up his whole life, gave him demons that could not be banished. Hell, look at his most famous quote: "the sleep of reason breeds monster." That's an awesome thing to say, but it doesn't come from a man who had all his ducks in a row.

Also, I totally found this while cleaning out some of the junk on my computer.

Interesting note about my image above: that was in the test-run for the NSFW sections, which I got into ahead of everyone else because I really, really wanted in and Ria loved me at the time. There had been no public admission of the return of God_Child, so when I read his posts in there I freaked the fuck out, thinking it was some kind of Ria-loves-the-Gutter conspiracy. Since the NSFW area was inherently tied to the Gutter I got access there as well, but never went in, although I did notice that like every time I checked Teia was the last poster.
