priest is much too gimmicky imo to play in arena over the ones i listed above. (Not that i don't want to make a sweet constructed preist, but other needs apply

Priest is pretty shitty in arena. you just fall prey to tempo decks and can't use your passive early on to affect anything at all. Mind control and thoughtsteal are pretty shit too
I've definitely lost to some sweet ones though.

Just know always pick Mage, paladin, or rogue if they're available with mage and paladin as priorities since they're the best.
I've been liking rogue over paladin but that's probably just style. Queen tempo mother fuckers
it just feels like you can win with any pool from rogue (went 10-x the other day with a literal pile) and paladins are a bit harder to draft. I thought I had a sweet deck with 1 equality, 3 consecrations, 4 truesilver champions (lol da curve) and promptly dropped 1-3 <_<
Also Dechs there's a secret quest where if you get all the classes to lvl 10 you get 100gold or something, so its good to get the ball rolling.
I'd personally (if redoing the whole thing) watch a ton of streams and play casual doing
quests until you get a good enough feel to free roll arena (by winning at least 7 times) that way your gold doesn't get wasted when you suck.

move on to Casual to level up the rest of the classes

Always pick mage in arena if possible, the class is nuts in limited. Priest is 2nd due to its heal gibing great board control. I personally like Shaman as 3rd because of great removal and cards like mana tide totem and Flametongue Totem which force out early removal. Great bait cards. Warlock is great too because drawing cards is good.

Rogue is iffy, it forces you to play a lot to combo, losing card advantage quickly. pally can be good because of divine shield and the best weapon in the game for limited

I disagree with Sham being such a low tier deck in arena.
Everything depends on amount of Fire Elementals you expect to draft.
Yes, I had 4 Fire Elementals, 3 +2/0 atttack tottems, 3 manatide totems, 2 polymorphs. Beat that suckah.

Here's my arena guide, use that plus anti-grav's pick list (Since it means something in HS unlike MTG):
https://docs.google.com/document/d/1Iwo ... sp=sharing
also if you put a gun to my head for arena (74% win rate atm) ranks.
#1 Mage
#2 Pally
#3 Druid
#4 Warlock
#5/6 Rogue
#5/6 Shaman
#7 Warrior
#8 Hunter
#9 Priest before MC nerf
#10 Innkeeper
#11 Priest Current

It's 10 mana and requires you to not be miles behind on board. It gradually got worse as everyone got better at the game.

Priest control is big on keeping the board clear and against certain decks (Druid and Shaman especially) they win the game stealing a big card, not to mention the tournament winning deck that had turn 8 rag, turn 9 faceless on rag and then mind control opponents rag for a crazy win. 10 mana is easy to get to when the whole priest archetype is about board control through healing and life gain to keep multiple steps ahead. I don't even play priest but I respect it.

I like warlocks cards but feel the power is too painful when you're behind. I still think rogues the third best class, mostly on the back of their amazing hero power.

Tips on playing priest: their power level drops off horribly if you choose the wrong allies. You want to go for big butts, I cannot lie. The priest heal can generate enormous VCA by keeping your guys alive while you chip away at theirs and trade up your smaller guys as finishers. Landing a soul priest will give you the most efficient hero ability in the game, 2 mana for 2 damage, but you need to sequence it correctly. Priest is a control deck using incremental advantage, you need to plan on enabling your t8-t9 win. You have strong conditional removal, but only use it where it matters, the 3/4 thats poking you every turn is a worse target than the 1/2 with taunt thats stopping you from killing larger things.
I haven't played in a couple months but priest was my favored class, this is pre-MC nerf.
And sometimes you just have to accept that you will die from pyroblast to the face, which I hear did get nerfed to t10. Turn 8
pyro for 12 used to be one of my favorite finishers. Theres a reason it used be called the dream crush spell.

Yeah, Pyroblast is now 10 damage for 10.

I was referring to Arena mostly, though I think Priest is bad in Constructed I think it's at least moderately playable for tournaments (sucks for Ladder).

One step at a time, man. It took a lot of convincing from myself to even get THAT stuff.
