Well the mana is not good in my opinion, and playing 1-drops just emphasizes that.
I was thinking of maybe going the other direction:
Underworld Cerberus.
Sac to Tymaret so I can get back all my Rat fodder.

Why not consider Purphoros with the amount of token generation...

When you are looking to maintain tempo and get value with tokens, spending mana on not-value and not-tokens (in the form of purphuros) sounds not very good
