Which decks would that be? Green-based with mana dorks? If so, how about Electrickery? That would take care of Spirit tokens as well, which are my main reason for the FotFs. But Pillars have been missed, that's true.Thats' funny that I had the same thoughts last night Vala Re: Reckoner.
@Platypus: The lists are missing pillars of flame. I'd swap out the FotF for them to be honest, you need to be interacting with decks you want FotF against earlier to prevent being overrun by the time you could even hit 3 mana.
I also think wolves deserve a place, -1 LM -1 Ash/BTE +2/3 Wolves?

If Naya Blitz is on the draw Flames of the Firebrand will almost always kill at least a Champion of the Parish and potentially at least 1 other once you have 3 mana open. Some very common lines:@Platy: Naya Blitz, Silverblade paladins (aristocrats), mirror ash zealots, nobles that have swung in, etc. I think Alex was saying something about electrickery to blow out Junk rites mana dorks and stuff, haven't tried it myself. T1you: Land, Noble
T1them: Land, Champion
T2you: land, BTE, Boar, swing Noble put counter
T2them: Land, Boros Elite, grow Champ
T3you: you can either acknowledge that your stuff is already bigger and race them or FotF both their dudes and swing out
And if their T2 was
BTE > Something then Champ is 3/3 and your FotF just became an overcosted spear. So you got a 1:1 instead of a 2:1 or a 3:1.
Only when their T2 is BTE>BTE>X does FotF not hit their Champ on your T3 when you're on the play.

Pillar in hand will always kill a first turn Champ.
It'll still do it when you're on the draw and it'll do it before Champ gets in for 2-3 damage.
Those are both relevant in that MU.

After realizing that they were sitting on a mountain of straw men, they decided to simply go into DFE mode. (Delete fucking everything.)
This type of stuff makes me realize why the DCI pays attention to social media when considering Player of the Year now.
