My son, Alexander, was born just around 1:30 today. He weighs 9 lbs., 12 oz. and is 22 inches long, so he's a big boy.

He scared us all by not breathing after he was born. Our room flooded with emergency personnel, and they worked to get him breathing on his own. The word Code rang out more than once. He fine now, but the NICU has him for the next few hours to make sure he stays that way.
I can't imagine the kind of scare that is, but here's hoping he's a healthy lad and home with you guys very soon.

You look like you got that shirt off a dead Chinese.

I have no idea why your post made me think of an obscure line from Back to the Future 3, but it did.

Maybe there's a UB Heroic deck? Agent of Fates, Artisan of Forms, Triton Treasure Hunter? Triton Tactics is good and untaps Pain Seer...

Tap Island
Triton Tactics targeting Agent of Fates and Pain Seer
You sac a guy, I draw a card
Block and eat your guy
Etc.

Mmmm UB tempo....
More ruminating on this. Not Heroic, but....

Thoughtseize/Removal/Counters + Lazav would be similar to what Artisan + Tactics would with the bonus of Hexproof and would almost get Phenax online (supposing he does something relevant. Guessing discard when X). It could be a UB Devotion deck with the aim of landing Lazav and Phenax like MonoB want to land something plus Gary, but with the big difference that when we UP D.Demon we get one for ourselves.

B/w tempo? Thoughtseize, Duress, Sin Collector, Lifebane Zombie, Tormented Hero, Mogis's Marauder, Banisher Priest, Xathrid Necromancer, Pain Seer, removal?

Probably strictly worse than B/w control/midrange running Blood Baron, unless you can hope to strip him with Thoughtseize or Lifebane. Maybe a small red splash for Mortars and Dreadbore, and Rakdos's Return from the board. Could run Exava too, I suppose.

Could also put in Agent of Fates and some heroic enablers for him and Tormented Hero.

hence why it's a discard/tempo deck with protection like Xathrid Necromancer?

Fated Infatuation and Herald of Torment look really cool. The lion king is mehhh as I run a lot of kill spells. Cool Commander card though for cheap cmc. On Fated Infatuation, I am not sure where that would go in Standard or Modern? Maybe Tron with Wormcoil Engine? Commander use is pure dick with certain Legendary Dudes (Kokosho, Kiega, and the white one).

REALLY like the new Demon as I finding Nightveil Spectors sort of lacking after a while.

Question.

Can I bestow on Mutuvault and have the it stick as +1+1 counters do? Herald of Torment is what I want to Bestow on to swing five flying for multiple turns against UW.

Not a fan of the Infatuation - I don't like any copy effect that only targets something you control. There's a big difference between cloning the best creature on the board and cloning the best creature you control. One can regularly dig you out of a bad situation while the other is usually either useless or win more.

Wraith: no, a creature aura will fall off of anything that is no longer a creature.

Encountered someone today on the way to work that enjoyed driving in both lanes at the same time. It's probably a good thing I don't have a gun in my truck.
Is this rare where you're from?

I don't think you'd like driving in Boston.
Yeah, it's not a regular thing. I just hate that shit when I'm driving down a narrow country road. It's like, "Hi. You can see me. You can see that my truck is bigger than your car. Are you capable of making the connection that if you hit me, it will be worse for you than it will be for me?"

As for driving in Boston,
you're probably right. I hate driving in big cities. Last time I drove down to San Francisco for a Giants game, I was very stressed.

@Windstrider - glad all is well with the wee one. That's a scary situation. When my son was born, his face was blue and the doctor had to pull the umbilical cord off from around his neck. Tense few minutes, but he turned out fine. Have fun changing diapers!

If it cloned any creature it would immediately replace Threads of Disloyalty for Merfolk and UR Delver as the card of choice to fight Jund and any deck running fat creatures they otherwise cannot deal with easily.

Ham - I imagine he was a lot nicer before he had trolls coming onto his stream making stupid, baseless statements. I mean really,
have you seen some of the crap that gets suggested in chat?

Oh man, I'm not sure how people can be that bad. Some of his visitors are truly terrible at the game suggesting worst lines of play.

I hate MJ. He's not very good, and is a total dick to his viewers. He can't play red for shit, and is quick to call a deck terrible when he misplays.

For every hour that I watch, 45 minutes is him berating his chat room, 10 is him being a snarky bitch but randomly he'll spend a minute talking about Magic theory or discuss why a certain metagame is hostile to a card or
deck. I get a lot from that, but it's hard sifting through the chaff.
