I thought it was better than the first one.
I thought Chasing Amy was better than Mallrats.

I was also drunk as fuck at the time of viewing Chasing Amy. I bet if I watched it sober it would be a piece of shit.
Who would get the money first?

The bull dyke. Know why? CUZ THE OTHERS ARE FIGMENTS OF YOUR FUCKING IMAGINATION!

If you folks could actually spoiler your spoilers(that's what the spoiler tag is for) and discussions pertaining to them, I'd appreciate it. I've yet to see the second installment.

For clarity: I thought that the Desolation of Smaug was a very enjoyable take on the Hobbit, because it established early on that it was not supposed to be exactly like the book. The elf CGI was distracting, but did not take away from the plot. Smaug was well represented. My main beef was that, if you didn't see it in 3D, a lot of the camera work was shit. Made-for-3D scenes don't translate well into 2D.

The barrels were awesome :3 I tend to watch movies very non-critically. If I want my brain working, I read a book. Movies are for entertainment, not thinky, imo

Yeah I don't hate UWR but my understanding is that it's not good right now. I do like Twin, I guess I can join the dark side.
Best deck in Modern in my opinion.

[deck]GP Antwerp Winner[/deck]

That's Patrick Dickmann's list. He's actually running UWR Twin on MODO now that everyone (including MJ) is more or less copying his list. It has huge game in the mirror.
Is Peek's instant speed really a reason to run it over Gitaxian Probe?

In the reactive Tempo Twin deck, Peek at EOT let you know whether it's safe to combo off.

Yes. I believe they said that on the commentary/coverage in Antwerp.

Dickman's deck is pretty good, but the fact that he's an excellent pilot makes it better. Like, it's all he plays. He's championed the deck for years now.

Desolation has been out for a while now. We're not talking about a book or TV show that it'd take you days or weeks to catch up on, it's one movie that - even though it feels like an eternity - actually only takes around 3 hours to watch.

You have no job and an Internet connection, Kaze. If you haven't seen the movie yet it's your own damn fault.

Well that makes perfect sense. In theory I know what the
deck does, but I've neither played with it or against it, so I guess I shouldn't be asking about specific card inclusions until/unless I have some experience with it first.

Agreed. Hell, I didn't spend a dime. I found an amazing cam version off of KickAss Torrentz. After watching it, I would've felt bad had I actually spent money to see it.

And also, it is a book, so y'know ....

Can you believe Tolkien had the nerve to spoil the ending of the third movie like 50 years ago?

Hi guys. I'm back. Anything earth-shattering happen in the past two weeks?

My basement flooded while I was gone. Not enough to destroy anything down there but enough that I had to pull everything upstairs. Did I mention I have a gaming room in the basement? Thankfully I hadn't left any books on the floor. My mother-in-law got me an M14 fat pack for Christmas, which was cool, but then I had to explain what Magic was to her and that was interesting because she kept trying to understand it by relating it to poker. Then I spent my Christmas money on replacing the copy of HeroQuest I had when I was a kid.

That about sums it up.
