That deck says "Yes I am inferior to UWR Control, but I'm different, and that's what matters!"

You can make it work, it does have Snapcaster, he makes everything work

Just add more counterspells and Thoughtseize

UWR is a fun deck, give it a try

Yeah I don't hate UWR but my understanding is that it's not good right now. I do like Twin, I guess I can join the dark side.

Had a jar of that for New Year's Eve - good shine is the best liquor.
I watched Desolation of Smaug last night. I was not impressed.
A pile, right?

I see what you mean about the bad CGI. It was like, does this scene contain an elf? Let's CGI an unrealistic acrobatic action
move! It's cool once or twice in a movie, but for ten minutes straight? C'mon.

SPOILER ALERT!

And why was it called the Desolation of Smaug? He didn't do jackshit. There was no climatic ending. And if that little skirmish at the end was supposed to be the finale for the movie, then I think the only people who may have enjoyed it were the people who never read the book.

And wtf was up with leaving a fraction of the Company behind in Laketown? If I remember correctly from the book, all the dwarves that are supposed to die in the Battle of the 5 Armies are the same ones that stayed behind in the movie. Which leads me to my next point - if Kili and Fili are supposed to die, then what is the point of having Tauriel (a made up character for the movie) supposedly "fall in love" with one of them?

/end rant

nThe action scenes were pretty terrible. In the LotR movies, Legolas did some awesome stuff, but it was all more-or-less physically possible - in these, every fight with him is a Yoda fight scene.

All the scenes with Legolas just standing around were CGI too. I get that Orlando ain't as young as he used to be, but they could have probably gotten away with just adding a little makup and touching that up instead of making his face an obvious CGI effect in every scene.

Hell, there was a scene with either Legolas or Gandolf (can't remember which) riding away on a horse that was completely CGI... nothing special about the guy, horse, or action. You don't even see the rider's face so why the fuck couldn't they have just filmed someone riding away on a horse?

Best deck in Modern in my opinion.

[deck]GP Antwerp Winner[/deck]

That's Patrick Dickmann's list. He's actually running UWR Twin on MODO now that everyone (including MJ) is more or less copying his list. It has huge game in the mirror.

I thought Chasing Amy was better than Mallrats.

I was also drunk as fuck at the time of viewing Chasing Amy. I bet if I watched it sober it would be a piece of shit.

Really? I thought the first one was amazing. I'm looking forward to the next one though - dragon stompy, Battle of the 5 Armies, etc. Peter Jackson is going to have to work hard to make it suck. I bet it's still going to have like, 5 endings though.

The only thing I liked about this middle movie was Jackson's take on the talking spiders. I thought that was creative and nicely done. But then again, that leads me to another gripe about the movie: Bilbo never wears the ring for more than a minute. He just takes it off when he needs it the most. Like, seriously? You're fighting spiders - leave that shit on! You're stuck inside Thranduil's castle- leave that shit on! You're literally standing in front of a
dragon- why the fuck would you take that thing off!? Bilbo literally spent days wearing the ring in the book. I don't know why it has to be any different now.
