Sometimes discussion here is serious, sometimes playful, and sometimes we even talk Magic. Then there are the times when catching up on the past 3 pages is like doing a fast-forward replay of someone's surreal acid trip...that would be now.

Went 3-1, lost the first round to some janky burn deck, obliterated mono red the following three rounds. They literally cannot
win the game, it's really pathetic.

FNM was glorious. It was modern and commander night. The group game was a fast game with my nekusar deck. Turn 1 open with black vice followed by hollowing mine, bloodchief ascension (destroyed), propaganda, mana rock, nekusar, font of mythos, and forced fruition, winds of change, and finally wheel of fortune.

We played a commander 1v1 and Kaalia regimented supreme. I never lost. Thanks khaos for the deck ideas in your Kaalia thread! 3 games went: turn 1 sol ring into Boros signet, next turn Kaalia, next turn strip mine and master of cruelties. You at 1 bro! The other games were similar but Iona + Avacyn often sealed the game. I was getting som serious hate towards the end of the tourney.

I modernized my mono black standard deck. Using deathrite shaman and fetch lands to drop a phyrexian obliterator turn 3 is just
No one could deal with it. Also, why do people keep killing the blood ghasts? The just come back with 8 fetch lands I dump constantly. The best game was for first place. I had 2 phyrexian obliterator in play and for some reason she thought a miracle Bonfire of the damned would save her She was playing a blood artist deck.

In a format where Lightning Bolt is by far the best removal spell, Phyrexian Obliterator is quite oppressive.

Wraith, swinging with Kaalia and dropping a Master of Cruelties when the opponent can't block is an auto-win. Master's trigger happens during the assign blockers phase, bringing your opponent to 1 life. In the assign combat damage phase, Kaalia deals 2 damage to kill your victim.

Indeed. I played his ass many a time and the best response was a burn player that tapped his 2 mountain for, what I am not sure cause he never showed them, and pointed at them and said, "I....I....I don't like you!"
The game ended rather quickly when I dropped another. He was running ensnaring bridge but a turn 1 and 2 thoughtsieze got got both in his hand.
Yeah thoughtsieze does work against burn.

I have not tried the old rackdos in the deck cause I don't own one. Will have to try it.

Have you tried Hellkite Tyrant? I threw it in to steel mana rocks and I actually won the game with it's ability. There was a myr deck I just...owned/dumb won.

I never thought about it as a win condition, but my opponent was terrified as I got his artifact lands as well. It was just fate telling a commander artifact deck to eat a dick.

I helped Scumbag fix the email delivery on the server, so now notification emails go through for all subscribed threads (as designed). If they get out of hand, there may be a mod I can install to let users subscribe without notification emails.

Every respectable forum has an option to subscribe without email notification. If it comes down to it I'll just mark DTR as spam.

Phpbb3 has a bookmark function that lets you group topics in your user control panel, but not get emails for new posts.

I have a bookmark for this thread, but notifications for a few low-activity threads like my RakSink thread and my hypergeometric thread in the areas that I don't visit often.
