Giving a heads up for anyone who plays modo, just ran two Standard Elims and fought Bx Devotion every single game.
So if you want free money, now is a good time.

I love how nobody acknowledged doc's tshirt design e.e
It looks awesome so far!
Also, My name doesn't really need the periods, though I do kinda like the effect, so I guess I'll defer to the professional on this one

No MTG tourneys/events during the Holiday season for me. People tend to dissapear around here until the new year. So that means just working like a slave and less posting from me until MTG picks up around here.

Over on Sally they're seriously talking about adding
Five-Alarm Fire in the SB for red decks in the competitive section.
Anyways, back to making my first EDH deck because all the cool kids at my LGS has one and I want to be cool.

The card isn't completely unplayable, the problem is that Dynacharge does exactly what you would want this card to do, except it does it better. (Which is close out a game if your alpha comes up short.)

I thought it looked too run-on without them. It's your name, though, so I can take them out if you'd rather.

I haven't played anything but pauper for the last two weeks, and I still manage to contribute random bullshit. Usefulness of info in this thread in particular is not required, I made a crappy joke yesterday about shoving deodorant up my ass, the least you can do is make some bad jokes and talk about redthirst's crank, or my balls.
And five alarm fire is a ton of fun, it's just not a competitive choice. I could see it having some good play in an aggressive edh deck, and around the kitchen
table.
And doc's shirt idea is awesome.

I like it for fun, but it's the fact that it's in the competitive section.

Tenant > eccleston > all the old doctors I have watched very little of > smith. I can't be 100% certain of whether it was smith or a change of writers, but smith's first season made me abandon the show. I should probably catch up on torchwood, captain jack is FABULOUS!!! (One of the perks of being gay, fabulous becomes far more usable once you come out of the closet).
If you haven't seen it yet, then be warned that
Torchwood: Children of Earth is brutal, which is probably why it's so damned good. It doesn't pull any punches.

Mtgs forum awards are up. I nominated redthirst for nicest member.
Don't forget to vote, everyone - I indeed has nicest member.
Though, I'm tempted to vote Teia...
Shirts look good, doc. If you'd like, I can PM you where we were at when we shelved the T-shirt idea.

I saw it (and it was great), i'm talking about miracle day, which has me nervous as it's a collaboration of BBC Wales and STARZ, and americanizing british shows has a poor history.

If it's in community issues you won't be able to see it until you have (I believe) 25 posts.

I have yet to see
Miracle Day. I should see if it's on Netflix or Hulu. My wife is currently obsessed with
Once Upon a Time, though, so
it might be tough to get the iPad away from her for a while. Then again, Captain Jack might be enough.

Doc, love the design as that's the font in my sig

re: Doctor Who--I was beginning to wonder if anyone here watched it as somehow it's never really come into focus here compared to Firefly and AGoT. I'm still only partway through S4 so I'm pretty biased towards Tennant at this point...Eccleston was great from the perspective that he personified well the sardonic, heavy end of seeing so much of history (bagging on our stupidity ans shortsightedness), but he lacked the range of Tennant. I've only seen Smith in one Christmas special, but he seemed somewhat a shadow of Tennant. Still, I admit that I need to see Smith's seasons before dropping real opinion. But regardless, we love the show here...my son got all 7 seasons of the reboot on DVD from his mom for his birthday and he dressed as Smith-version for Halloween (as
he lacked the suit and coat for Tennant) and I am now tasked with acquiring Converse Chucks in various colors for Christmas. The latter is a hoot as I explained the history of Chucks to the kid...he still has trouble believing that people actually chose to play sports in a flat-bottomed shoe with no support, much less accept that I wore the same shoes as a teen in the 70's.
