Ahh, yeah, Coyote! How'd I forget him... You'd think Gunnerkrig Court would have him fairly well stuck in my brain...

Played a qualifier for GP Vienna, hoping to get a couple of byes.
Missed the top 8 after going 3-2 with black devotion.
I really hate that deck.

I went to FNM with my Treasure Hunt deck. I did terrible, 1-2.

Round 1
I literally mulled to 0 both games. Literally. Never happened before.

Round 2
I won against a dude's starter deck

Round 3
I punt game 1 because I didn't play the Zombie Infestation in my hand on turn 2 and he was able to get lethal on board with pro-black so I couldn't block with Zombies.

Game 2, I combo out and win.

Game 3, HE PLAYS TURN 1 PITHING NEEDLE NAMING ZOMBIE INFESTATION!!! I scoop cuz yeah.

I think I'll stick to playing PyroWhite instead. I played games against people afterward with it and stomped face. I'm sorry. I'm not much of a treasure hunter after all and shuffling all damn day is kind of boring. The deck is funny to think about but boring to play.

Speaking of hate towards combo: yesterday I was playing with GR Tron vs Jund, he played T1 Thoughtseize, T2 Goyf, T3 Fulminator Mage, T4 Fulminator Mage.
The pain.

(I managed to go T1 Urza's Tower -> Chromatic Star, T2 Urza's Mine -> Chromatic Sphere, T3 Urza's Power Plant -> sac for red + sac for black -> Slaughter Games against Scapeshift, though)

i was bored today after I got back from some afternoon errands and built PyroRed on MTGO, minus the 2 Chandra (put 2 Ash Zealots in her place) with the goal of winning enough tickets to purchase the Chandras without having to spend real money. Had enough tickets left over from last season to fill out the deck with the Theros cards needed and then have 5 tickets leftover. Entered a 2-man. Lost game 1, won game 2, and won an EPIC game 3 against a mono red Fanatic deck. I was on defense for so long and then turned the tables. He was at 20 still, me at 8, and the power of Magma Jet and Young Pyromancer came out. Was very fun :)

Folks, when someone has Shock or better mana up in the mirror, don't pump your Frostburn to a 1 or 2 butt! I was trading creatures with him every opportunity I could until finally when I was at 4 life and tapped out
he attacked with Frostburn. I had attacked with YP and Phoenix the turn before, leaving 2 mana up. Magma Jet a 4/1 Frostburn when I'm at 4 and no blockers? Make a token? Don't mind if I do!

(I wouldn't have attacked with both except that he was hellbent so the outs/math were in my favor)

I know 2-mans are the lowest bracket for MTGO games that give you prizes, but I didn't think I'd see weird, janky decks in there. Just played a U/B Mill deck with Pilfered Plans, Wight of Precinct Six, Nighthowler, Psychic Strike, and Breaking // Entering. Obviously was no match for PyroRed. GIMMEH TEH PACKS!!
