I've done lots of IF. Whatchu looking for, Christen?
Just to know if you really have to work out to get results out of it. I'm a programmer and rarely get time to exercise outside of weekends.

On other news, I've just passed the Rules Advisor exam so I'm officially a Rules Advisor now.
IF doesn't build you any muscle, as you'd expect, but it will stimulate fat loss more than eating on a regular schedule. If you mix in some HIIT (20 minutes maybe 2-3 times a week) you'll lose a bunch of fat without a lot of effort. I lost 40 lbs. when I switched to paleo,
but the last 10 only came off when I incorporated IF.

I recommend the book "Eat, Stop, Eat" by Brad Pilon.

Where can I find prices? I'd like to know how much the entirety of Walter White is going for.
The prices are fluctuating so MTGOGOLD or STATS is outdated, I suggest going directly to either MTGO Academy, Goatbots or whatever major Bot Group you can find online.
Definitely will jump on when I get home...

Is that the same as a judge, Christen? I'm not familiar with the term.
Rules Advisor is closer to what you'd call a "Level 0" judge. Fore more information, check this post from Wizards. I plan to be a judge so this was important for me to pass. Having passed this also helps when you seek mentoring from other judges because they know you have the capability at least game rules-wise.

The Rules Advisor exam doesn't include policy questions though, so that's an entirely different thing. And requirements for a judge is getting familiar with the policy rules, so I'm still not quite there.

I'll try to get that HIIT since it doesn't require too much time. They also say working out during your fasting period (in the morning) is best since you tend to burn your fat reserves, though I think I can only exercise on evenings on weekdays.

I'll second that - Eat Stop Eat is worth
reading.

http://www.leangains.com/ is Martin Berkhan's (pretty much the best known current proponent of IF)site.

This is the best impartial review of IF I've read http://www.precisionnutrition.com/intermittent-fasting

I wouldn't be concerned about working out on an evening as opposed to a morning, just get the HIIT in and you'll be fine :)

Martin Berkhan's Twitter account provides pretty good value, too. You'll like him even more if you're into cheesecake.

Walter White seems to be about $175 USD. Mutavaults are still expensive.

Absolutely...I'm just still kicking myself for evidently borking the online purchase when I thought I bought my playset of vaults for ~$5 each back when M14 released and settled. Having half the price of a deck be a single playset is a bite in the tights due to my own fumble.

I haven't tracked the prices of Mutavaults online since I got them early. Never knew they are almost 20 tix now.

Hey, hate to be off topic, but just noticed something... I think Kamahl got suspended from mtgs o.o
His little miniprofile has a huge red throbbing... Err, sorry, got to thinking about redthirst's dick again...

I digress, it says 'suspended' in red letters below his name in the mini-profile to the left of his posts... Not sure how to feel about that one o.o

Pedros, now is the time to hold onto your Modern staples. Modern season won't be around until the Summer, so prices will steadily fall before they shoot back up again in anticipation of PT/GPs.

You can dump the Goyfs on me, if you're feeling generous :unibrow:

Just to be sure - you mean Vienna?
Hell, it's more of a money business. Sleeping in Vienna would cost me a fucking lot.
Consider that I'd pay 5x more money for that because of currency.

If you mean Warsaw... then maybe. But I doubt it.
Yup, Vienna :(

Maybe I just love drama, but I'm really enjoying all these articles about how terrible WotC is that they needed Kibler to have a scathing bitchfit to do anything about modo.

Over/under on updated product being garbage?

Sad to hear that most major events have been removed from MTGO. While I rarely play on them due to time restriction, it will certainly be a hassle to most.

Not sure why they want to do with that Swiss queue (6 tix for 3 boosters at most?). I'd rather run 2-mans.

Congrats on passing the Rules Advisor test!

And thanks for reminding me about it. I had meant to take it years ago but I forgot. So after a few practice rounds, I gave it a go and...I passed! Whee, looks like my rules knowledge isn't so bad after all.

I tried the Policy Practice test as well, and I got surprisingly good results there as well. Passed that one on the second try, without ever having read the tournament rules documents in any detail. Seems like common sense goes a long way when judging those situations. Now I need to ask the local L2 judge on how to proceed... :)

Edit: Reading that now afterwards, it sounds a bit like bragging and belittling your accomplishment. It wasn't my intent. I was quite surprised that I passed (and perhaps I got
a bit lucky as well) because some of those questions aren't easy.

I gave 8-Man Standard Elimination a shot today, its not a horrible format - the games are much quicker then the DEs and skill level is fairly high (since the old DE grinders are now running them) my only gripe is that you can't watch your own replays.

I'm going to keep playing until mocs-rematch but after that I think its a good time to stop playing magic at least until they return DEs or at least fix the replay bug.

Not sure why...
It's mostly people saying unrelevant shit about the zombie outfit, a few idiotic card suggestions, and one troll insulting red.

Seems like a pretty standard comment section to me o.o

@mdu, or you could switch to playing with legit cardboard, the manliest way to play ;P

Yeah, happens to most of the people who don't complement the Sally tards on how nice their shit smells.

He may take the opportunity to join DtR which, call me crazy, but doesn't strike me as being nearly as horrible as I'd have thought just a few months ago.

Well, even if DtR never becomes the place where the pros hang out, we can still be know as the place where the people with a fucking clue build decks.

You're the hardest on Kamahl out of everyone here, so I'll take your semi-endorsement as a huge balance-tipper in his favor. Everything I've seen from him on Sally lately has been reasonable. I can't even blame him for his love of wacky pet cards, since I do the same thing.

I'm going to buy it for 1 reason
by itself. Everything else will be gravy.

One of the example screens lists a deck with: 2x Pillar of Flame, 4x Rakdos Cackler, 4x Stromkirk Noble, 2x Stonewright.

Shut up and take my money.
