Right, before I forget it, I would like to tell this strange happenings on modo. My opponent had a lone
Pack Rat and a
Mutavault. I activated Chandra +1 on the rat, he pumped it by discarding and making a token (2/2). I swung in with two of my 2/*s, then he activated the vault (3/3 to all rats), and blocked both of them. My creatures died from the result, but oddly enough, end of turn, he lost his army of rats as well (including the mutavault).
Even now, I don't get how this happened.

pack rat and vault die, original rat becomes a 1/1 and has 1 damage from Chandra, thus dying. We disovered today while testing vs. Black Devotion that pack rat is a ludicrously hard card to play with and it'
s usually best to just use it as a fog machine while you get ahead on cards until you find gray merchant/whip as the black player. When going on the rat offensive, you force your opponent to go on the offensive which can often be bad for you(as the black player) because you only have a limited ability to make rats given X mana and cards in hand. If you just do nothing, your opponent has to play around your open mana which buys you time to get your engines online.
Thought I'd throw this out there for any black mages in the house.

Mutavault is a 2/2, gets 2 damage, and dies.
The Pack Rats copy is a 3/3 with 2 damages, but with Mutavault dying becomes a 2/2, and dies as well.
The original Pack Rats is a 3/3 with 1 damage from
Chandra, but becomes a 1/1 with the Mutavault and the copy dying, and dies as well.

Just checking one rule thing...Indestructible doesn't cause any replacement effect, right? So Boros Charm mode 2 in response to Anger of the Gods saves my stuff right?

TH - should have played Maze's End, bitch.
FIA - the others covered it but never forget how much damage a creature has stacked on it even if it's not lethal and especially if that creature has an * toughness.
Platy - Charm saves from Anger. Anger Exiles if killed but Indestructible stops the creature from being killed in the first place.

Ok, that's what I thought. I was a bit worried that there might be a window where the Exile replacement clause might kick in.

I totally missed out on the nostalgia party. And the 20,000th post celebration. And the 500th page jamboree.
Stupid homework. And my stupid body needs sleep for my stupid job....
At least I get a bottle of hooch from ham.

Okay, now I get why something was wrong. I was under the assumption that
Pack Rat gave all rats +1/+1.

Yeah that's a tough one. Each copy of
Pack Rat gets +1/+1 for each Rat in play, but Mutavault isn't a copy of Pack Rat and doesn't get the boost, so it remains a 2/2 (though it pumps the others by virtue of being all creature types, including Rat). If Mutavault dies, then that reduces the overall toughness of Pack Rat and its copies. Any damage marked on them equal to or greater than their new toughness will kill them.

I spent most of my money on enhancing my deck...
Now I'm relying on using my deck to make some money back.
So far, it's been fairly satisfying.

@ Kaze: is it bad form for me to lurk mafia games that I'm not a part of? I know I shouldn't post in them, but my name shows up at the bottom with the list of registered users viewing. Is that bad?

What was that? A planeswalker that killed three others (Two Jaces and Elspeth) while gaining me card advantage? Who could it be?
This is why you shouldn't play Esper and forgo [card]Hero's Downfall[/card].

@Kaze
My recommendation for a very nice sharpener for the straight section only:
http://www.gerbergear.com/Hunting/Gear/ ... ener_04307
Best $3 I've ever spent.
And for the serrated sharpener:
http://www.gerbergear.com/Hunting/Gear/ ... ener_09841
It doesn't have to be exactly this one, just something like it.

I like how he mentioned Shocking a Satyr was a power play.
Because I'm sure the RDW player could have pulled that game out if he'd just had +2 life.
