The good: Using Walter White (PyroWhite :)) I won Game Day undefeated and won the playmat they had. I also defeated the hydra. :)

The bad: There were only 4 of us for Game Day, so I went 2-0* against a field of homebrew decks. And the store was out of Game Day playmats. I got a World of Warcraft one that they offered as a consolation. XD :flame: XD I really wanted the playmat for this event. Oh well, the one I have shows a wizard turning someone into a rabbit.

To be fair, though, the store did not even have to
run the event because of so few players. As consolation, he gave us some of the extra promo cards he had from previous events.

*Edit: Afterwards, I did play the third player and defeated him, so I would have gone 3-0.

I posted up my gameday writeup in the devotion red forum. I could post it here too (minus the decklists) if anybody really cares enough :P

if they board out their fliers versus you then you've won the game and can gruul charm through a ground stall. flexibility, son.

Yeah they board out judge's familiars (especially if theyve seen gruul charm), but spectres and raptors pecking at you is the real power of mono blue

My former teammate from third grade to high school plays for the Steelers. Was glad to see them best the Ravens and get in on a few tackles.

Should I play....Plummet? Kills against Monoblack, it's basically doom blade since 2/3'ds of their creatures fly and it has applications vs. MonoBlue. It would be a 1-of and more, it's a bad card.
You gotta understand, I love the beatdown. I really do. I always have.

In case of 3 mana: Magma Jet my dude, Shock in Response for maximum value.
You need to represent the "dumb fuck Aggro players".
And to be a lil' bit more serious - glad to see Electrickery working for you so well. Thought about this card a lot, and with board state like this it's just slapping your dumb opponent with a dick.

Also, as some of you know I've changed studies from IT to Psychology.
Had like 2nd week when I was attending the courses (not sure how you're calling it - I have studies every second weekend).
At the moment I am in the middle of negotiating about getting budget for my researches. (using VR during phobia therapies)
When I suggested that (pretty easy and obvious thing to think about) they had their jaws dropped. When they heard about Oculus Rift they shat bricks.
Especially after my proffesor got my back as for half of the listening course we were discussing Freud's "people are
naturally evil" being actually positive thing to say (knowing a bit of chinese philosophy helps a lot!).

Damn, I like my studies. Like... not feeling dumb anymore.

Just to clarify: yes, the research would actually involve the real therapists - probably the most titled professor at my University. I'd be there to explain the game's theory and be the connector between the Therapist and IT crew (who are mah boys).

Trying to get pyroboros together as well.

And honestly, drawing 8 lands in a row is probably death even for maze's end. ;-)

S'okay though, Im not that upset cause guess what it was that i lost to...

(twas a really bad version though, I like fog and wipes much more than removal and lifegain)

Permanents for life!

Just had a game vs. Dega. I have to storm breaths, he has obzedat. I'm at whatever, he's at 7. Obzedat comes in, he gains 2, plays whips, swings, goes up to 14. I draw BTE...and Combo kill him.

Play BTE, mana into nykthos, activate, float 6, play purphoros, play fanatic of mogis, trigger, take 2, trigger, take 8, swing for 8.

I WOULD appreciate feedback in my thread though :gonk:

You do need to try to gay it up a little more.

You're like the least gay member of this clan.

And that's counting the fact that you voluntarily have sex with men.

I facepalm when my opponents just unwittingly play another Nythos without doing something with the first one. It happened around 3 times now. Don't they understand when it says it's legendary?

I'll admit, I want to make a devo deck so I can power a Colossus of Akros. Aside from a select few cards, nothing beat a 20/20 with trample and indestructible.

I hate asking this here, cause it almost feels like spam :gonk:

But would people please be willing to take a look at the build I had ruminating following my gamedays yesterday? I posted it in the (now seemingly almost abandoned[comparitevely speaking]) devotion thread, but have had no feedback :(

The jist of it is take out my 4 1-drops, and one fanatic, and then put in 4 young pyros and bump my burn up to a full 12 main.

And again, feels spammy/bummy, but I wanted to join this clan to learn better magic, and so feedback from y'all would mean a lot to me.

Turn / Burn gives no fucks about Colossus of Akros.
You know what, valdarith? I'm eager to give UR Pyro a try just to see the reaction of the opponent when their attacking MoW or Obzedat turns into a 0/1.

If only Izzet gets their scry lands...

Why I love big Devotion Red:

Was in a playtest session running it through a gauntlet of different decks(MonoU matchup needs work), played against the boros agro deck from the GP this weekend. Turn 3 Chandra, kill soldier of pantheon, turn 4, make 6 mana, play purphoros, play second nykthos, make 9 mana, play reckoner, play fanatic of mogis, trigger, trigger, opponent was flabbergasted and took 14 before I even plus'd Chandra and swung with Ashley.
You gotta understand, I love the beatdown. I really do. I always have.

Beatdown is hard, though.
