I've seen it published on facebook and just wondered if it's true or photoshopped.

There's nothing inherently wrong, with the article itself (except the pictures, maybe), but sometimes you just stumble on fake articles made up by people to complain.

Call me dumb, but I have no idea what "exult" means and I doubt that the WSJ would use that on a front page headline.

No. Italians don't get that excited except for porn.

Exult means to show joy.

You're showing your age.

I grew up in the early 90's - there was no Internet causing free porn to flow like wine - it was a rare and precious thing.

Even later, before search engines, if you wanted porn, you had to go into chat rooms and pretend to be a 16 y/o girl.

Back then, just "finding" porn was worth exultation.

Congrats on the promotion, James!

Magma Jet--nom nom nom. But does it really qualify as the MM reprint? Yes it's awesome (particularly for us), but wasn't the point of MM to bring down staple prices? At around $3, Jet isn't exactly back-breaking, but then again every card can't be Bob. I will be interested to see the name/number crunch as things play out.

Hey guys Im back online. Sorry if I missed any MTGO clan invites. Went off the grid for a while due to my gramma passing, signaling the end of an era. Between my college roommate passing, my wife almost dying last year, myself almost two months ago, and now this; I'm on bad terms with Death for the foreseeable future. That fucker is to stay away from me and mine at least for another 5 years. My mother called me jaded towards death.

What did I miss?

Good to see you again, lorddax. It's been a rough couple of months for some clan members. In addition to your troubles, kaze's marriage recently imploded.

Sorry about your grandma - glad you're back, though.

Sorry for your loss Lordax. Hope things look up. When death comes by, say "Not today."

In other news, I may go to GP Oklahoma for my birthday in October. Birthday plus GP plus drinking with all of my old military buddies? That's value.

I'm going to be writing up my experiences from the mono red Pyromancer deck last night. I'll probably do it in the RDW thread.

I've been enjoying the hell out of Koth and Figure of Destiny in Modern RDW. With an eye towards keeping these two kicking ass vs the burn heavy URW decks, I'm growing increasingly fond of maindeck Boros Charm and Faith's Shield (essentially a [mana]W[/mana] counterspell) to protect my beefy FoD and growing pyromancer token army.

Are there some successful RW midrange lists from Magic past worth inspecting? I'd like to see if I'm missing some good stuff.

Maybe greater gargadon+revilark something, but that's likely a different deck and has some convoluted combo somewhere. The best things in your colors I can think of getting back are:

Mogg war marshal
Murderous Redcap
And...that's it off the top of my head. Google...pro tour Hollywood? I think there was something spicy going on there, but again, probably just a different deck.

Edit: Eh, add fulminator mage and siege gang commander to that list of value creatures that 'Lark fetches.

Hi! Also, thanks for the info.
Also, new chapter of Dark Polish Stories.
I'm working in a bank now. Getting trough the course about finances and stuff. My bank offers insurance as extra thing when taking a credit. Listening to that was one big reference to Fight Club.

"Okay, so basically the situation when someone gets the biggest cash from insurance is when airplane would fall down into him. He'd survive that with 100% of his body heavily injured. And he'd lost his job when he was on his way to get crashed by plane. And then he dies. After 90 days of course. He'd probably get 5x of his insurance now."
Shit's pretty gruesome.

Thats also known as the "Redthirst Mile High Club" Insurance. No known cases have been filed as black boxes from the dismembered planes have yet to be recovered. The last suspected case featured what witnesses describe as a figure riding a large pogo stick into the horizon line.

I guess it's like "Go Home".

Fun fact is, our insurance policies don't consider loosing legs when you loose the part under the knees. Then it's just % of your body being heavily wounded so you get appropriate % of full insurance in case of being in accident.
"I am sorry for your loss, but we cannot consider your condition as not having legs. We will consider that as injury."
The discussion was fun as overall. The person who taught us about them in case of multiple conditions talked about "combos".

Fire Emblem for the ds whatever is supposed to be awesome. I've played all the games in there series and they have tons of replay value and everyone I've talked to has given it great revues.

I acquired Fire Emblem: Awakening about a month ago, actually. Compared to Path of Radiance(the last FE title I played) it's a bit underwhelming. Where the latter could enthrall me for a straight half-hour with nothing but storyline and static background images, the former is basically a tedious repetition of "Commander! Scouts report sightings of the enemy up ahead! We need to prepare for battle!" -cue pre-battle screen- I was disappointed.

This thing will suck the life out of you.

Fun fact, when I got big into it for a span of about 3-4 months (coincidentally the months before i started mtg, guess i like obsessing over a singular hobby) I was a top 30 player on smogon, which is kind of the leader in competitive pokemon battling.

A friend showed it to me about a month ago when we wanted to do pretty competitive battles, but didn't want to put that much time into making a great team. For me, it's still more fun than addicting, but there are times when you just keep hitting the random battle button right after you finished the one that you said you would quit after, like a slot machine.
