You stand no chance with a cheap deck

Bring bump in the night burn and hope for a miracle

It has a plan for the long game when you're able to land a Shared Animosity. It makes your little green men so much better. Bonus points if you can stick a legion loyalist.

Although I'm starting to see major value in Goblin Arsonist. So much so that I'm thinking of swapping out Goblin Guide for him. Food for thought. Also, YOLO.

I thought it was better than the first one.
Really? I thought the first one was amazing. I'm looking forward to the next one though - dragon stompy, Battle of the 5 Armies, etc. Peter Jackson is going to have to work hard to make it suck. I bet it's still going to have like, 5 endings though.

The only thing I liked about this middle movie was Jackson's take on the talking spiders. I thought that was creative and nicely done. But then again, that leads me to another gripe about the movie: Bilbo never wears the ring for more than a minute. He just takes it off when he needs it the most.
Like, seriously? You're fighting spiders - leave that shit on! You're stuck inside Thranduil's castle- leave that shit on! You're literally standing in front of a dragon- why the fuck would you take that thing off!? Bilbo literally spent days wearing the ring in the book. I don't know why it has to be any different now.
Continuity with The Lord of the Rings movies. Every time Frodo wore the ring in the trilogy, he was subject to Sauron's gaze and alerted him to his presence. They're tying these movies in with the bigger story.

Edit: Fixed spelling.

If you take out all the shit cards, sure.
Is there another 1drop Vampire that I am forgetting? Like I said, it was a 4am throwtogether, I didn't even use Gatherer, all of this is just based off of memory of things that are of the Vampire creature type. Could also be removal, idk. Likely even Thoughtseize if its on modo.

Also I've been playing Shadow Alley Denizen in Standard over Tormented Hero in Nuwen's BR list because making Spike Jester unblockable on its first turn is basically a Bump in the Night at worst.

I think Jackson's just trying to get fancy. And in doing that, he's getting sloppy. Don't get me wrong, though, I'm a fan of what he's doing and a legitimate Tolkien nut. Maybe it's just that the first Hobbit film was so good that it's hard to top it
with the middle movie.

Srsly?
I started playing him in my Bastard Burn-Goblin deck because I needed some sort of decent 1-drop that could compliment Goblin Guide, was a Grenade target, and didn't care if my opponent played a turn 1 Shaman. As it turns out, he usually gets in there once or twice and then has value when killed. Like attack for 1, Grenade for , ping for 1. I like that I can Grenade him to kill a Wurmcoil.

For those
that care, here was the list I used. It's somewhat cheap, but still lethal. Pretty resilient too.

[Deck]
4 Goblin Arsonist
4 Goblin Guide
2 Grim Lavamancer
4 Mogg War Marshal
4 Goblin Bushwhacker

4 Lightning Bolt
4 Rift Bolt
2 Pillar of Flame
2 Burst Lightning
3 Goblin Grenade
3 Searing Blaze
3 Flame Javelin
1 Lava Spike

2 Teetering Peaks
2 Keldon Megaliths
4 Arid Mesa
4 Scalding Tarn
8 Mountain
[/deck]
Note that this isn't what I'm running in my pure Goblin list.

Not running it at FNM because I want the Helix promo too much.

You have to cut a card and there's not really a place to do that here.

Vermin is better to get back with Charm and is cheaper, no other creature could be cut. Could maybe cut a Grim Return, or stick one in the SB.

[edit] 3 Muta might be too many, too. Might cut a Muta and Gate for 2 basics.

The teen uppitiness was going around this morning, Dan...I lost my voice having to set the record straight with my dude over his temper and the consequences of his behavior. We did dovetail a talk about public vs private airing of "shit" and I used your sitch as well as my ex's recent
behavior as teaching points. They need to recognize that consequences are things to consider before rather than after they stick their feet in their respective mouths... Not to mention the down side of sounding off against the people who pay for their lifestyles.

I take it WoW is still fun, Alex?

I was an Arena Master on my priest when I played. There were no Gladiators on my server and I wasn't good enough to carry two others in 3v3 all the way to Gladiator ranking. :(
